Supposed survey gauges interest in potential features for upcoming new game in Ubisoft series, including co-op.
The next entry in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series could include co-op play and be on store shelves as early as next year. The Gaming Liberty has obtained a survey reportedly stemming from Ubisoft that gauges fan interest in a range of new features and ideas for the series.
The survey reportedly asks a series of questions covering players' thoughts on Assassin's Creed III, including their enjoyment of or dissatisfaction with its gameplay, combat, and story. Additionally, the survey asks what players might enjoy from a future Assassin's Creed installment, such as whether or not they would like to see a future game feature Desmond or Connor.
Additionally, one question is squarely focused on co-op. It asks if players would enjoy "the possibility for a friend to join the game in order to help" with missions, puzzles, and other endeavors. Though the Assassin's Creed franchise has introduced multiplayer, no game in the series has yet featured co-op.
Lastly, the questionnaire asks how likely respondents would be to purchase the next Assassin's Creed game if it were released next year.
A Ubisoft representative told GameSpot, "Assassin’s Creed is an ongoing franchise that we’re continuing to evolve and part of that process is always gauging gamers’ interests."

99% chance the next AC game will follow Nikolai's story. I mean, come on! It's the next logical step in the series. Plus, there's a number of very obvious clues in AC3 which point to this. The Romanov symbols, Alex Cross muttering in Russian for? someone to "get out of his head"
In The homestead Mission GIVE ME A DOCTOR! there was a boy named Hunter That was born when he grows up his parents will me murdered or something and he most live with Connor (Old) when he is 20 the templars will come back and Connor will Train Hunter to be a Assasin.......

Maybe our new protagonist will be travelling to Greece, reliving the mythical stories and maybe obtaining the Pieces of Eden from the bearer - altering history so that Juno can be defeated?

2 Like The next assassins creed should be in the life of shao jun in china or that has something to do with the chinese brotherhood. Watching the assassins creed embers it would just seem right to have an assassins creed in china. I think it would put a new twist to it and also bring martial arts into the fighting.

I think they should rather reboot the series. Taking away all these weird gods. How about just making the game about the assassins.
This comment is the last part of my previous one:
- In past, a new character is playable which is a poor orphan thief girl (which will be known as the most beautiful assassin in history!), you can play with her starting from her childhood to learn old and new skills in stealing, tricking and some in hunting. When she became young, one crazy templer ordered to burn an area which contains a building of orphans she take care of, all orphens died accept one she saved. After that she tried to assassinate the tampler but she failed (she was not an assassin yet) and she followed by soldiers who nearly killed her, however the old Ezio showed up, saved her life and been her mentor (Like any normal assassin Ezio enlisted in last ACII game). Ezio will be a support assassin during the advanced stages of this gameplay and can be played during some "regions" defense missions (in updated ACII way). Beside the templers a new secret group can be presented which created by Juno in the past only to stop the attempts to stand against her plans. During the gameplay, the playboy can talk mentally to the assassin girl but he can?t tell her anything which maychange the future, so all his comments are of the useless funny type like jokes and sexual harassment!
If you like this idea I will continue on how she will be useful against Juno, what will happen with her, what are her tools and weapons, and how I see the gameplay of her.

AC IV Takes actions both in past and near future (or present if Juno operations were limited):
- In future, a new character is playable which is son of the late assassin's mentor (who killed by Cross), this son is a rich playboy, doesn't like assassins as he can't trust them before his father death and much more after that. However he has advanced eagle vision that allow him to know if any want to kill him or lie on him (because of it he seen most humans as lairs and untrustable), he also has an access to something like Batman cave which kept secret by his father and contains many first assassins weapons and outfits along with advanced new weapons and tools made by Einstein and such known inventors.
If you like this idea I will continue on how he enlisted with assassins, what missions he will do, what are his tools and weapons, and how I see the gameplay of him.

I would like to see something in either the Civil War, the era of Chinese Dynasties or Feudal Japan, or maybe something in 18th century England or even the French Revolution. There's no reason to move the story into modern day. It just doesn't need to be done yet, there's so much history they've already missed out on.
maybe a modern day assassin would be better. it seems like the story line only goes FORWARD in every game. so why not make the next assassin customizable to the players taste. Example: Facial features, prevoice features, customizable clothes like jeans , sweaters and even robes or coats. Or a Western assassin in Dodge City or in California during the Gold Rush. That would be a great game. and instead of a hood a cowboy hat. And keep the controls from AC III, they were AWESOME!!!
Things that I hope for the next game:
-Connor should leave. And never, EVER, comeback.
-Gameplay and design of Ezio's trilogy should return
-Game should be set either in St. Petersburg during the reign of the Romanov Family, Paris during the French Revolution, Victorian London, 16th century Amsterdam, or Hong Kong in the dynasty era

1 Like @Vaati135 Connor was a bad @ss. Neither Altair or Ezio had the skills that he had. Connor was the more serious one which makes him a better Assassin. I agree with you, they shouldn't bring him back but that's just because it would be better to add another assassin.
1 Like @AirForce190B I dare to disagree. I loved the AC series but honestly hated Connor with a passion. He was ,in my opinion, the worst assassin out of all of them. Altair was cold and meticulous, Ezio (in later years) had the job of assassin refined to an art but was caring, Connor was brash and nieve. In my book Ezio would kick any of the other assassins asses in a heart beat. I cant comment on the Vita game since I haven't played it. I honestly wish I hadn't been so excited about AC3. Thats my opinion yours may be different.

2 Like Please UBIsoft, follow the Brotherhood game model, Connor was a boring and annoying assassin. Take a year off if needed but develop an interesting story and learn from the mistakes in AC3 (of which there are many). I've played all the ac's and never once encountered a glitch ( AC3 is filled with them). Time for a new hero I'd say!

People are saying they can stop making more AC games but it gives so many cliffhangers, no matter what your always gonna want the next game
2 Like Personaly, I would prefer to be able to create your own character, like their features, hair, eyes and have a selection of voices. Because as a female, I would prefer to be able to play as a female, and have the abilty to change the colour of your outfit/clothes ( you have an option wether to wear Assassins or Citizen outfit ) at the beggining of the game.
Plus i think co-op should be like BF3, where there is an completly different set of missions, that keeps track of the mission you are on with one player, and you can have up to... 4-5 games.
The Multiplayer.
I don't own ACIII yet ( Xmas! ) but the multiplayer on AC4 should be based on Templars vs Assassins, and there is a team leader, and it is more like S&D, if you die, you stay dead. Every time the team leader is killed, the team who killed them wins. so the aim of the game is to protect the team leader, and I think this gamemode should be called something like: Pack Leader.

1 Like What they NEED to do is develop I AM Alive into a real, full-length game, maybe franchise. That game was hands down great, the only bad thing about is was the premature ending to the game.
4 Like Ubisoft has yet to make a bad game so I am just going to tell you all to shut the hell up. When they start turning out utter trash on the same depths as Activision-Blizzard or Square Enix, then I'll join you. To this day they have not made a bad game.
1 Like Do they really need to carry the series on? Can we have some original games please?AC3 was good but for me to get really excited about a possible AC4 then they need to make the combat a lot more challenging, in AC3 you were so overpowered from the very beginning it was so easy to take enemies down. They need to get the core gameplay better before they try to add in all these extras. It would be more fun to be a stealthy assassin doing the 'hiding in plain sight' thing if it was a lot more challenging to take down multiple enemies, something that Dishonored did well (though that fell down on story). Otherwise it just becomes an experience where you can go in and bludgeon a load of enemies to death by just waiting for them to attack and then countering, one which was far too easy for me.
@vinniebarx dude with all do respect you can't even compare dishonored to ac period different gameplay in general first of all dishonored is a fp rpg like skyrim it woulda made more sense if you compared it to unchartered that would be like comparing bf3 with the very first rpg ever and i think ac4 would be a great idea because they kinda dropped the end off and didn't show what that chick actualy did in the end and they could go all the way to our time with the story including the kennedy assassination and much more and i hope ubisoft will do so and will keep up the great work they have always done
@vinniebarx You must not have played. Try fighting 30 people with 5 jaegers and 5 grenadiers at the same time. I'm a master of AC and I very nearly died so many times it was absurd.
@vinniebarx Now you can press the right buttons plenty of times and still mess up a lot. Obviously lol. But seriously, having to focus on 5 jaegers, 5 grenadiers, and ten or so other people is just...hell. And I'm better than everyone else I know at the AC games (the combat part atleast).

@Grenadeh Yeah, I I'm pretty sure I did, (what the hell was I playing if I wasn't?) Desmond sacrifices himself to and let earth take their chances with Minerva rather than let another cycle of the same thing happening again. You can pretty much leave it at that. I was satisfied knowing that he basically stopped another thousand years of religious wars and what not. Just because they didn't live happily ever after doesn' mean the franchise has to be milked any further. Seriously it will turn into another call of duty.
Plus Desmond is dead and the story is all about his ancestors when he goes in the Animus, sure they could use his Dad but he has even less personality than Desmond and would be an even more boring character.
No more AC please, time to think of something original Ubisoft.

@SouthPhoenix @vinniebarx @Grenadeh Oh god no, to have a game solely as Desmond would be rubbish he is such a boring character, the AC series has been held together through the supporting cast, not the main characters (apart from Ezio though I grew extremely tired of him in Revelations). No I don't want to see what Juno has in store for us because frankly I don't care, the modern day storyline was such a distraction through the whole series when we had some interesting historical backdrops, the only reason I enjoyed the modern setting more in AC3 was because the historical campaign was so lacklustre in comparison to the previous titles. Yeah they tried new stuff with all the homestead and interesting ship battles, but they ripped out the core bit, which was stabbing people with your hidden blades. For such a massive game you'd think there were more key assassination targets, but no they filled it up with unneeded side quests in a boring area. I loved the series, Brotherhood was my favourite, but to say it's too good to end now is an overstatement, Revelations and AC3 were very underwhelming.
@vinniebarx @Grenadeh ACIV is most definitely needed. Desmond has not been confirmed dead, and we still haven't played a game that is solely based on him fighting in his own time. Do you really not wan't to see what Juno's plan for Earth are? And If you wan't something different play FarCry or something, because this series has been too good to end now.

@vinniebarx I wouldn't blame them if they made some extra games based on Connor's life, like they did with Ezio. I bought ACIII mainly for multiplayer, although singleplayer is good in it's own right. I will probably wait a while for my next AC game, mainly because of budget reasons.
2 Like in AC4 just hear me out would this not be cool? so humanity has been inslaved and because the crazy biatch at the end of the game said that now she must play her part but in the most disturbing way which making it obvious that she does not have the best intentions with humanity, so in ac4 what if the world had been all in power of that one girl and that we assasins(players) had to take it back, of course incorperating co-op storymode weather it be online or split screen. This could be a really good idea because in these conditions assasins and templars would have to team up, i mean really were going against a god basically so when going into story mode with that idea will of course open up the game to character creation so i myself could play as an assasin while my friend plays as a templar. Good Idea, bad idea? i sure as hell would love fighting online with friends STORYMODE fighting towards the same goal :)
@averyblackman10 idk so much about that idea because although the AC games have always involved gods and goddesses, you have always only played against real people, which makes it so fun. fighting a supernatural being would change the game completely. this kind of game would be a huge stretch from other AC games and would be more sci fi-ish than many fans would like. t sort of gives me a God of War kind of ring.
