Trying to figure out who the target audience is for this. Collectors? or people that haven't really played AC before and feel like they have missed out? All I know at $192 it is probably only collectors that want it all in one package.
Ubisoft confirms five-game bundle for Xbox 360 and PS3 launching exclusively in United Kingdom November 30.
Ubisoft today officially announced the Assassin's Creed Anthology and revealed it will launch November 30 exclusively in the United Kingdom through Amazon. No mention was made of a launch outside of the region, and a Ubisoft representative was not immediately available for comment.
As was rumored earlier this week, the Assassin's Creed Anthology will include all five Assassin's Creed console games. These are the original Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Assassin's Creed III.
Additionally, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation premium bundle will include all expansion packs and downloadable content for each game within the bundle, including the DLC season pass for Assassin's Creed III. The bundle also packs in five game-themed lithographs, a steelbook case, and a collector's box.
The Assassin's Creed Anthology will retail for £120, or about $192.
@SavoyPrime Only PS3 Games Are Region 3 Not The PS3 Console
Man I wish it was then I could have all the games at once, oh well I have them separate, at least the Mass Effect Trilogy is worth it.
No big deal. It just means UbiSoft loses out on making money because they made it exclusive to one region when the demand is present in the U.S. If that's their choice, we can find the other ones used so that they make ZERO money instead.
@faycerol3media This is stupid because it's ubi montreal that makes the games, a game based in america....
It not coming to the US really isn't a big deal since people could always import it if they want it. The PS3 being region-free is awesome.
thats sux for US. i dont see why all games shouldnt be sold everywhere for the same value.
i live in AUS and will get this but it will be overpriced thanks to our sh*tty taxes compared to UK and anywhere else they will sell this.
Sorry @Tobi Carraway the 5-pack isnt coming to the US.
Goes to show Ubisuck hates America. I'm surprised they made the Americans the heroes of AC3. And we attack their British friends. It should have been the other way around. LOL. too bad America isn't getting this. First they shit on our AC Collector's Editions, and now they refuse to send this to us. Fuck Ubisoft. Greedy pigs.
BTW, AC3 SUCKED. It was rushed, it was infested with glitches, the characters are a bore, the locations are dull, and the game just fails. 2/10 imo.
@joekeilso33 lol. I think your eloquent review may be a bit harsh. These anthologies are nothing to get your feathers ruffled up over. Buying the series one at a time may be better idea for some.
Obviously this isn't targeted at you folks that are already into AC, it's aiming to get more people involved, chill your beans!
I don't actually like the games all that much, find them a tad tiresome after a while.. but if it means people can own the whole collection in a one-time bundle then fair play, and the fact they'll be brand new and not pre-owned is quite an incentive.
Nice to see the UK get some attention as well! Never happens!!
Like when I bought all GoW games and, a month after, they launch an anthology also, I couldn't care less!
O.K. whatever. I am one who doesn't care for re-release of games. Kind of like when a game that is already out comes to another platform and they re-review it when it's the same game. I know why they re-review it, but to me there really is no need.
Would've made more sense to release this at the same time AC3 launched. If people already paid for AC3, they're not gonna pay for this bundle that includes it as well.
@Vodoo That is provably why they only release it in UK. They save distribution money and whoever wants it he will just import it from there.
$192?? Even if it was released in the US, why would you buy the package when the individual games cost less? If you buy them during a Steam sale you'll spend about $30 for the first four games... add $50 for AC3 (on sale) and it's about $80. Not even half what they are asking for lol...
@StateOfGrace No. The third game ends with a 4th game clearly in mind. And I think Ubisoft has already said an Assassin's Creed game will be out next fall.
If someone was interested in Assassins Creed why would they just be picking it up now? doesn't make sense.
@Jon_SlyI got your point but it's a common practice of the industry to bundle trilogies, anthologies, to get more cash, ya follow me?
@Jon_Sly Yes it does. If one never got to play it before now, or own all of the games, well, here's a great chance to own them all in one swoop.
Watch Dogs looks like a major hit for Ubisoft in 2013.
More from Assassins Creed...
a UK exclusive? im....well.....there must be a catch we normally get screwed over we never get nice things :P
yeah but generally the english hate the french so....
