I will get this game, there is not enough JRPGs on PS3, so this kind of games are must have for me. Even if for some people are just crap.

Although I love the artwork, and the visuals. Nothing new seems to be presenting itself with this game, just more talking, questing, leveling, and spell-casting. 

I love the Atelier series... but they release them so fast! One per year almost...

Please Koei, I would not like to see it turning into the Call of Duty of the JRPG's

Play RPG games if you have 100+ hours of your life to waste. I do play some good ones, but just think RPG waste too much time with their dragging side jobs. Hmm... maybe that's the point.

Eeeesh.  Japan, please, could you just make ONE JRPG where all the characters are 20+ years old?

I own the three Atelier games for the ps3 and while they tend to be overly cutesy and pretty heavy on the anime troupes, they're very fun to just relax and play. The combat is serviceable and the crafting is easy and intuitive. This game will probably be more of the same, and I'm cool with that. They're sort of like my guilty pleasure games. 

If anyone reading this is interested in the series, Atelier Rorona, Totori, and Meruru all take place in the same world with most of the characters crossing over from the previous game(s). This game (I think) is completely separate in terms of characters and story. Oh, and the stories are all pretty simple and focus more around the characters than they do grandiose sweeping narratives about saving the world and destroying god. Hell, the first game's plot was "save your alchemy shop from being shutdown". That's it. But they're a nice change of pace.

Do you have to have played previous games? Not really heard of it till now.

As long as the game had good gameplay and story I don't care that much about the voice-work, usually I'll turn them off whenever they're annoying.

Music score used at the beginning in the hse and during battle sounded nice, and I really appreciate how jrpg allows us to explore the world map and interact with npc except for the turn-based system. I have no issue with turn-based while playing games like persona, but this seems annoying to me that they have do close-up of tt character and play every scene of throwing a bomb, maybe it's only me tt feels tt way. Anyway, i like durian so yah, i think durian spells nice

I also pre-ordered Ni no Kuni already as well. I haven't played any of the Atelier series, so I don't really have any plans of getting this game. If I do start, maybe I'll give Atelier Rorona or Atelier Totori a try first. With Ni no Kuni coming out this Tuesday, I'll be busy for awhile.

I miss turn based RPGs like this.  I just wish every JRPG didn't look like it was made for pre-teen girls.

I'm interested IF they removed the time limit of the Arland series.

Fans will not be pleased because instead of NIS Tecmo is releasing this, and pretty much in a poor bastardized format. WTF did KT buy GUST if they were planning to ruin any goodwill the series gained in the US through NIS. NIS should be releasing this game.

Don't think they picked a good day for release. Tomb Raider, South Park: The Stick of Truth, MLB 13 The Show, and MLB 2k13 also coming on the 5th. Plus just a couple weeks after Ni No Kuni. Think they should have put this out during the Summer dry period.

I love JRPG's .... but this game looks so unappealing .. I think "Ni no Kuni" will do for me, to the next " Tales Of " game comes out.

How convenient, Her dress is stiff enough to fly up when she throws items. Even though it looks of silk, at least it saves processing power... I stopped buying these after 3 for ps2. idk if I grew out of it or if these games got a bit too childish. I think it's the lalala feel to these games that I'm starting to not like. They prance around like nothing is wrong in their world(so why should i step in?). Now, I'd be cool if some great tragedy happened, and she stopped prancing and jumping around. Wouldn't that be neat to reflect the character's emotions just by having them walk/run a different way sometimes? Games don't need story, but even then, I don't like the carefree environment, even while crafting weapons of mass destruction.

This is good. Only a partial dub? That's a shame.

On the plus side it will be an English dub. I honestly laugh at the people who require the voices to be in Japanese.

For anyone wondering, the decision behind having English audio only had to do with a decision outside of NIS America. Unfortunately, like with the previous games, this was only given a partial dub, so there'll be a percentage of the game that will not be voiced. The fandom is already pissed over this decision and I can understand why, given it seems the fandom (who were the ones mostly purchasing the games) have a preference to the Japanese audio. I suspect the English audio recording was only done to meet bare minimum requirements by Sony, hence the lesser costs to localize and not a full voice recording.

I really hope something is resolved by the time this gets released, but I have my doubts, as I suspect the discs have already began to be pressed. One can only hope a Patch or something comes out.

What would we do without NIS America? The Atelier series has been getting better with each release.
