Capcom's controversial and highly anticipated horror survival game set to spook gamers later this week.
The biggest game to come out in Australia this week is without a doubt Resident Evil 5 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game follows the story of Chris Redfield as he investigates a viral outbreak in the fictitious African nation of Kijuju, with the help of a local operative called Shiva Alomar. Shiny new graphics aside, you can recruit a second player to control Alomar and blast through the campaign cooperatively, but don't worry, you can still play it solo. Be sure to keep checking back for all of the latest RE5 information in our launch centre before the game's release this Thursday.
After being rescued from development limbo by Ubisoft, World in Conflict: Soviet Assault is finally ready to deploy. Soviet Assault introduces six new missions from the side of the aggressors. To go along with the new missions, white phosphorus bombs have been introduced as a new tactical aid. World in Conflict: Soviet Assault will be available as a stand-alone product, or bundled with the original World in Conflict.
The final game worthy of mention this week is Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box for the PC. Though it doesn't bring anything new to the table, The Ultimate Box combines all of the downloadable content that has been released along with the original retail game from 2008 in one neat package for the PC. Be sure to keep an eye out for Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box when it comes out later this week.

Hopefully they've programmed the AI to stay out of my direct line of fire. Or at least added a new input button to kick her out of your way when aiming.
this game has turned into an action game rather than a horror one,and now we start to ask the question........ DID WE LOSE THE HEART OF RESIDENT EVIL 1.2.3.AND 4?
@roflmuffins8 Not ALL games are released in the USA first, just the good ones! Actually, it all depends on where the developer is based. So most of the games you play are usually made by American developers.
@missmorphine Resident Evil 5 epic fail? well, everyone is entitled to their opinion but, don't forget: it's a DEMO not a FINAL product. I can't wait until it comes out I'll be getting it after work!
I'll never understand why games released in America get released much later in Australia and the UK. The developers don't usually make any changes and we all speak the same language, so why not release it in all English-speaking territories at once?
I'll be picking up Res5 for the mercs mode :) If I had a PS2 I would pick up Persona 4 too. Burnout is good too if you haven't played it yet. Oh if you like multiplayer, probably World in Conflict too. The rest are bin worthy I think... @GodsPoison - It is the U.K Release date for Persona 4.
Thought the street date for Resident Evil 5 was Friday, March 13? Speaking of Resident Evil, heard rumors of a March 12 announcement for a Code Veronica remake for the Wii. Can anyone confirm?
Oh look, what a surprise...Nintendo releasing more shovelware! They release the most titles and so very few of them are even hits. The PS3 has even more hits now than the Wii and they have a smaller consumer base...go 360 and PS3, BOOOOOOO Wii!!! Booo Nintendo!
If u move and and shoot then it isn't Resident Evil. So we go back to the problem many of u are having, that the game isn't resident evil anymore. And again im not trying to fight! I respect all of u guys opinion! lol! Just discussing! =P
Not being able to move and shoot = hardly fast paced. I will not rent it, I will not buy it. But like dethroned3 said - it's opinion - I don't dig it, you might. Good for you, good for me.
Gerardo1963, are your feelings hurt because there are people out there who criticise RE5? DEAL WITH IT. edit: there's criticisms for every top ranking game out there. its unavoidable. go read the post under yours.
This is a response to dethroned3's comment, the fact of the matter is the games gonna be one of the biggest hits this year. I personally think its stupid judging the game by the demo. Rent it then criticize! And also to the ppl who keep saying its not a survival horror freakin deal with it. The game has evolutionized for the better and if u really think about it is still a survival horror, Just more fast paced! And theres more levels to the game then those two from the demo. Theres probably gonna be scary parts so chill out ppl. Anyways while u guys sit at home and complain imma pick the game up and enjoy it with the true RE fans online! Peace out!
To shoot a crazed infected Zombie or a defenseless Wild Bear.. tough choice.. Resident Evil 5 FTW!! Finally! Sick of downloading game clips!!
I wish my Xbox 360 wasn't getting repaired. I would've really liked to pick up Resident Evil 5 this week, on the first Thursday I've had off in probably close to a year. Ah well.
Depending on reviews I'll most likely pick up RE5, though not until I get some more money, hopefully I get something from the government's stimulus package!
Resident Evil 5 is a big flop in many people's eyes. it's meant to be a survival horror, but it's not the least bit scary. HORROR action adventure? no.
RE5 for sure the stand out game from this weeks releases.....but PC fans will be happy about Burnout Paradise also, it's a sweet game packed with fun! Didn't realise they were still making those Cabela Hunting games.....obviously some one is buying them if they keep on making? ;)
Definitely checking out Persona 4, Resident Evil 5, Tenchu: Shadow Assassin and Bleach: Dark Souls. May rent Sonic and the Black Knight.
