AU Shippin' Out April 19-23: Nier
Save your daughter and cure a plague in Square Enix's latest release.
Fabled Japanese developer Square Enix is on the verge of releasing its latest franchise, Nier, just under a year after it was announced. Nier tells the story of a father trying to find a cure for his daughter who has been stricken by a mysterious disease known as the Black Scrawl. Keep an eye out for Nier when it's released this Thursday on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
If role-playing games aren't really your thing, then perhaps Dead to Rights: Retribution is for you. The story revolves around police officer Jack Slate and his dog Shadow as they enforce the law, 9mm at a time, in an attempt to stamp out crime in the fictional municipality of Grant City. Throughout the game, you'll swap between the two characters, with Jack focusing more on run-and-gun gameplay, while Shadow's sections are stealthier. Dead to Rights: Retribution is due out this Friday for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
