AU Shippin' Out March 26-30: Kid Icarus: Uprising
Kid Icarus makes its Nintendo 3DS debut.
When the Nintendo 3DS debuted at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2010, Kid Icarus: Uprising was one of the first games to be demoed. Now close to two years later, it's time for Aussie gamers to get their hands on this '80s revival.
Kid Icarus: Uprising tells the story of an angel named Pit, who is up against the dark forces of Medusa. Staying true to its roots, the game mixes up aerial battles with on-foot platforming. Alongside the cartridge, Kid Icarus: Uprising comes with a Nintendo 3DS stand. While the stand doesn't introduce any new functionality like the Circle Pad Pro did, it is designed to make handling the console more comfortable.
Ridge Racer: Unbounded from Namco Bandai also races into stores later in the week. This one sees the franchise go off in a grittier direction, allowing players to crash their vehicles not only into other cars, but also into buildings. On top of that, Ridge Racer: Unbounded comes with a map editor on the disc, which allows creators to share their tracks with others online.
Other games worthy of a mention this week include Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations and Tiger Woods PGA Golf 13.
