Battlefield 1942 patch v1.6 available
The WWII shooter's latest update contains the Battle of Caen, Nazi helicopters, and a patrol boat-load of fixes.
Today, Electronic Arts released the latest in a long line of updates for Battlefield 1942. As usual, the patch for the World War II action game's patch is large in size--148.7 MB for the v1.5 to v1.6.19 edition, 274.2 MB for the from-scratch flavor. Both updates can be downloaded below or on DLX.
The update also includes the customary two new levels (the Liberation of Caen and the Raid on Agheila), new vehicles (Lynx scout car and Flettner helicopter), and new weapons (Johnson M1941 LMG). The full feature and fix list is available on the official BF1942 Web site.
