Sony confirms May 2013 release date for Quantic Dream's new PlayStation 3 exclusive game posted in error.
Yesterday, an IGN reader sent the site a screencap of the official page for Beyond: Two Souls, which revealed a May 25, 2013 release date for the PlayStation 3 game. However, this date is wrong. Sony told the site that the release date was posted to the site in error and has since been removed.
"We have not announced a release date for Beyond: Two Souls outside of the 2013 time frame," Sony said. "In fact, [Quantic Dream founder David Cage] recently shared that the title is preparing for the alpha version so the date reported on the product site is incorrect and has since been updated."
Beyond: Two Souls was announced during Sony's 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing in June. Cage claimed the game would be emotional, mature, and unique, going on to say he wants to create moments that players remember for a long time.
It is due out during spring 2013 and features the voice and likeness of Inception and Juno star Ellen Page. For more on Beyond: Two Souls, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

I though Beyond was going to be published this Christmas but it seems I was wrong. When I search for the title here the release date under the tile says December 31 for 2013 while it was at first 2012. I was let down anyway because I wanted to play it now since I have so much to go through this year.

3 Like I wouldn't want Quantic Dream to rush this out because it has massive potential to be one of the PS3 most inoovative games.
Why couldn't such an idea have been hatched in a different setting, not the muddy (didn't use the more colloquial and incidentally inaccurate term 'gritty') present. Even an alternate present would have been good since that might occasion a background that wasn't suited to an M-rating...OH NO! This game didn't have to have an M-rating anymore than a tire has to have a bit nasty slash! Oh well, the game just gets reduced to filth...I'll have to wait for devs who aren't freaks for a good playable psychological thriller. It's the mark of incompetence to counter the intended effect of 'thrill' with elements that deactivate the brain's capability to recoil and reel at things that are truly 'thrilling' and scary, those things being the majority of what makes the game M-rated. When are these idiots going to learn that brutality NEVER WAS and NEVER WILL BE the same as skillful emotional invocation? Not in this generation by the looks of it, if we ever see it again.

3 Like @tgwolf I don't even understand half of what you said. Did you even play Heavy Rain? It was a great game, didn't have a lot of cursing language nor "gore."
Infact Quantic Dreams games are usually a lot more emotional/story driven then most any other games.
Play Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain.

Personally I think there is a chance that the game could come out on this date. Historically Sony has put out an exclusive at this time. Although those were both the Infamous Games. Still it has proved a lucrative release date for exclusives and cross platform games.
