Bioware is dying. Thanx to EA.

This proves that EA has no idea how to run in this business in a sustainable way.

The closures, controlling and streamlining of IP's into nothing but sludge will destroy this industry that revolves around creativity and. most importantly, innovation.

Another one bites the dust. Bioware should have never joined EA. They were warned.

I can't stand Facebook, but I use to get on all the time during class so I could play Dragon Age Legends.

That was a fun little game.

EA need to sale there company to Nexon lol

Ea can have The brand name Bioware. but when you see the main guys leaving the  retire from there jobs. your not bioware no more your just EA with other name 

I actually thought the Bioware developer had isolated itself from publisher EA with contracts and lawyers enough that EA could not sway any internal business decisions made by Bioware heads. I know that Bioware stated when they partnered with EA for publishing that EA would have no input on internal game development and decision making by bioware. 

If you ever need to take a dump, go to EA HQ. They'll pile it with the other dumps they created.

current gen webgames are meant for social network users. I really doubt there are enough gamers who can switch from Mass Effect to Farmville. Facebook game assignment feels like a such demotion, I'd probably quit myself.

so people are being all doom & gloom cause ea is closing a studio which made social games. like really guys.

The "future of the industry" isn't as rosy as the "analysts" claimed.

Fuck you EA. You ruined Bioware. They better bail out of EA before the whole company is shut down along with all the employees with it.

EA has been pissing me off quite a bit lately.... I used to try to defend them because they owned SO MANY IPs that I loved.... but they are all slowly dying and it definitely seems like there are some REAL dumb-asses at EA regardless of whether this story is true or not.  ( I Have doubts.... a month isn't long enough.  If it IS true then they've probably been waiting for an excuse to do this for a while.)

A comment about how "courageous" EA is for "supporting Gays."  : saying Gays should be able to be bound in the Religious Sacrament of Marriage is not "supporting Gays."  It's simple changing the definition of a word.  I don't think gays should marry, I think they should do Civil Unions because the DEFINITION OF THE WORD MARRIAGE is a UNION BETWEEN MAN AND WOMAN.  It's like making toast and calling it a cheeseburger; the definition of those words are DIFFERENT....  basically this whole argument is about the definition of words, not about people's rights.  It blows my mind how naive people can be.

Why are people stupid enough to go into this field as a career? I still don't get it, there's so little job security. Unless you get into a big company (which may or may not liquidate your company anyways) developing a superhit title, it's pointless to go into the Video game industry. kids, if you're going to college, major ANYTHING but this crap. Thank goodness, I didn't. 

Well this is the start of Bioware falling hard.  BYE BYE BIOWARE don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.  Hell if we were so lucky, you'd take the entire EA company with you.

Even though they were a facebook game developer it's still sad to see people lose their jobs
