@h3rb Yep, also no PC demo will encourage piracy. People don't like to risk their money on something they maybe won't like.

1) No PC Demo 2) Not available on Steam These are two massive marketing mistakes.

... Lets face it, you cant trust the recommended of min system specs. The following are the system specs for bulletstorm, Minimum * OS - Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista * Processor - 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium IV or equivalent or AMD Athlon XP or equivalent * RAM - 512 MB * Hard Drive - 6.5 GB * Video Card - DirectX 9.0c compatible 64MB video card with Pixel Shader 1.1 support or equivalent * Other - Supported videocards: nVidia GeForce 3 series or better, excluding GeForce 4MX model series, ATI Radeon9500 series or better, keyboard, mouse Recommended * OS - Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista * Processor - 2.4+ GHz Intel; 2.0+ Ghz AMD * RAM - 1 MB * Hard Drive - 12 GB free hard drive space * Video Card - 128 MB or greater NVIDIA GeForce 6600+, ATI X700+ ... a recommended vid card running only 128 mb of v-ram and a min of a meer 64mb.... come on, with a game as pretty as this, I highly doubt it. For a game that was supposed to be Epics big nod to PC gamers, it is shaping up to be a massive let down so far. I like Epic a lot, don't let this fool you, but it is very sad to see them following suite with the rest of them and treating us like second class citizens.

I don't know if someone else already said this because I am not going to read through all the pages, but a solid demo can really improve sales and a crappy demo (or in this case a lack of demo) can really hurt sales. Hell, I bought Mafia II solely off how the demo was (and was kind of disappointed). I am a hardcore PC gamer and the complete lack of love for us is ridiculous! I understand that some developers think that PC=piracy, but what they do not seem to get is that ignoring us is worse. The amount of people who actually pirate on the PC is probably around the same amount who pirate on the console, but all the developers see is the stereotype. I find it even more insulting when a company like Epic, who became who they are today because of PC gamers, completely ignore us. I have had the game pre-ordered since it was available at gamestop, but it should be noted that for PC gamers, a demo is a way to see if the game will run well on your machine. I have a fantastic machine, however some people don't...

Can't wait! Just preordered the Epic addition today. Gonna Rock!

I would also prefer a PC demo. I'll have to try it on my PS3 and try not to shoot at the sky and the floor too much. Stupid Joy-pad's. ;) Oh, and the game looks amazing!

@Ladiesman17 I didn't say I was a console gamer or anything about People Can Fly. I prefer FPS on the PC, but the reason PC games aren't being supported as often now is because A. Developers associate the PC with piracy B. Console games sell better Whether you like it or not it's true. Console games are probably pirated just as much on as the PC, but that isn't the perception among developers. Let's face it gaming has shifted from hardcore PC gamers to core console gaming and now to social gaming/media thanks to movie/music support and motion controls. I don't like the shift away from core gaming at all, but it's happening. I hate the Wii and motion controls.....because at this point they offer nothing to me as a hardcore gamer. Perhaps they will in the future but now they don't. I don't like the lack of PC support for games b/c I like having the option. Most games I play on the Xbox 360 even though I play PS3 and PC as well. I prefer FPS with a mouse and keyboard like anyone who knows gaming, but I like every genre so I'm not a fanboy.

uh so, a FPS, a game that plays better on PC than with any crappy gamepad, doesn't have a demo while the console have it? They're really beggin for massive torrents downloads.

Publishers and developers shouldn't be confused when the PC piracy rate keeps increasing when they stop releasing demos and increase game prices 20% (fortunately Bulletstorm is still $50, but a lot of EA, Ubisoft and Activision games are starting to see this trend). If you release a PC demo you have to do it before the game is released or within a couple of days of release. After that gamers will just download a torrent to see if the game is any good, and once they have the full game they are much less likely to buy a copy. To see a strong resurgence in PC gaming; companies are going to have to switch to digital distribution so they can drop shipping and packaging costs and then relay those savings on to the consumer. If a game is $40 I am much more likely to buy it than when it is $50 none the less $60. Also the more companies place totalitarian DRM on games the more reasons they give people an excuse to pirate them. PC gamers can be ferociously loyal customers to companies (Valve, DiCE, Blizzard), but the moment you betray them (even just a little) they will turn on you like a pack of sharks going after a wounded seal. Companies need to start rebuilding their trust with PC gamers instead of fighting them. The more you treat them like second rate criminals the more they will act like it. Piracy is always going to be around, but if you treat PC gamers well they will buy your games and continue to support your company in the future.

@BrettFavor1185 lol. People Can Fly originally PC-based developer.. :D and most PC Community know better PCF than your own. and I knew your community always buy every piece of garbage on market ( it is not something to be proud of ) ;)

aww no PC demo, all well, I'll try the demo on 360 instead :)

personally I think not releasing a demo for PC works against them. If pc gamers get to play the demo at least the ones that are on the fence on getting the game who play the demo and like it will instead buy the game support the devs.

This game is looking stupid in the good way :D Finally a FPS which isn't about a gritty war but instead, about crazy action that just oozes 'creativity'. Looks to be a breath of fresh air for the FPS genre....

Gelugon_baat, you must enjoy lecturing subscribers in your "A lot of you ought to know" tone given the regular appearance of your advice for the rest of us poor schmucks! Why don't you chill out and play some games? We all know that many game stores offer no questions asked returns for store credit and given that in 2011 there are at least 15 AAA titles being released I don't think anyone is going to be financially crippled if Bulletstorm sucks.

This is going to be the deal-breaker for me whether or not to buy the Epic Edition.

Come on pc gamers! We all know they are increasing the visuals,making tweaks and adding more juice to the pc version so pls stop complaining... Even the console gamers know we pc gamers will get the better version of bulletstorm! p.s. No fanboyism its the fact! :P

As usual, no mention of a PC demo. What a bunch of dicks. It's like they want me to start pirating. I mean, I'm legit - I don't pirate games, but just like console gamers, I'd like to be able to try something before I buy it.

I'll reserve my judgement until I play the demo; I think I'll prefer Brink though as far as outlandish shooters go.

Could care less about the people on PC complaining...This game looks awesome plus I will be playing the Gears 3 beta happily this April so I couldn't be more satisfied.

What gets me is, is that wouldn't piracy happen because there is no demo? I mean, if you come out with a demo on the PC for a game people are interested in, they would like to play the demo to try it out and possibly buy it. Now if there is no demo, guess how the only way they can play the game on the PC? By piracy. Not only is doing something like this causing more piracy, but big game companies don't acknowledge they are doing anything wrong.

I know this is always said in response to these articles, but, "What about the PC?"

I didn't know there was still this many PC gamers to complain about things. I mean, besides those physically and emotionally attached to WoW.

Not releasing or talking about a demo for PC looks like a marketing move more than anything else.

@blackace Yes blackace mostly exclusives have over 30FPS but it is very very rare, oh enjoying Dead Rising 2 with 15-25FPS , I am sorry but that is unplayable for most PC gamers. The reason I mentioned steam is because you were going on about how many people are on xboxlive and psn genius. @aj_marquez Sure you do have full HD on most games but the bells and whistles are still on low or medium to a PC's ultra high. What about mod's people, this game will definitly be best on PC

I never said anything about PC being dead or WoW, SC2 not being catered by Steam. I said I played both WoW and SC2. I don't care how many thumbs down I've received. It doesn't mean I'm wrong. Many people don't like to hear the truth. It's ok. lol!! XBox 360 and PS3 games have FPS' that run at 60fps as well. Do you do any research before you type? Graphics are 1/4 of a game and it's not as important as gameplay. Games like Tetris and Bomberman should have taught you that. Graphics are meaningless if the game plays like crap.

I am have to say i'll be happy to check out the demo BUT January 25th is all about Dead Space 2 for me so this demo will have to wait :-(
