@h3rb Yep, also no PC demo will encourage piracy. People don't like to risk their money on something they maybe won't like.
Bulletstorm demo dropping Jan. 25
Sampler for People Can Fly's first-person shooter hitting at end of month; will introduce Echo game mode and unlock options for full product's Anarchy experience.
Polish development house People Can Fly has marketed its upcoming first-person shooter/kicker in unique ways. However, the team is also using traditional means to hype the game prior to its February 22 release.
Publisher Electronic Arts has announced that a demo for the title will land on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network on January 25. As for the sampler, in the demo players will vault into the gritty boots of hero Grayson Hunt and get a glimpse at the game's Echo mode, a score-based experience featuring the game's campaign environments.
Further, the demo will give players a feel for the game's skillshot system, whereby players are rewarded for killing with skill. Gamers will have access to 45 skillshots in the demo and can wield an arsenal of deadly weaponry, including the peace maker carbine, the flail gun, and the screamer, which turns foes into fireworks.
Additionally, those who download and play the Bulletstorm demo will be able to unlock unique "platform-specific upgrades" like the crimson leash and stealth armor, for use in the full game's Anarchy multiplayer mode.
Bulletstorm arrives on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on February 22. There was no mention of a demo for the PC iteration of the shooter. Those who purchase the Epic Edition of Bulletstorm will earn access to the multiplayer beta for Epic Games' Gears of War 3, which will most likely kick off in April.
