Bungie's Destiny confirmed, will be unveiled February 17
Developer confirms long-rumored name of first game with Activision; studio to officially show off game in five days.
Bungie today confirmed that its all-new universe with Activision is called Destiny. This had long been rumored, though Bungie finally today bluntly stated, "So, our game is called Destiny."
The developer also said Destiny will be officially unveiled on February 17. Bungie recently launched a teaser website counting down to the proper reveal.
Bungie also today launched Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ channels for Destiny.
Destiny is Bungie's first project as part of a 10-year publishing deal with Call of Duty company Activision. Legal documents from May suggested that the game will be released for the Xbox 360 in 2013, with a 2014 release slated for the PlayStation 3.
The game is reportedly "quite like Halo."
