Championship Manager 5 site opens
Eidos launches an official Web site dedicated to Beautiful Game Studios' upcoming soccer management sequel.
Eidos has today announced the launch of its official Championship Manager 5 Web site. In addition to Championship Manager 5 information, the site boasts downloads for previous games in the series, general soccer news, its own forums, and plenty of soccer-related special offers and competitions for visitors who take the time to register.
"As well as being the indispensable guide to all things Championship Manager, we want the site to be a destination for general football fans," said John Webb, Eidos' brand director for Championship Manager. "Football and Champ. Man. fans alike will be impressed by how much the site has to offer, especially the new 'blog' section, allowing users to create their very own online community."
Championship Manager 5 is the first title in the long-running series to be developed in-house at Eidos' Beautiful Game Studios rather than at Sports Interactive. The game is currently scheduled for release in Europe toward the end of this year, around the same time as Sports Interactive's Football Manager 2005.
