Dead Space 3 preorder bonuses split between retailers

I prordered from amazon and only got the standard edition, then they told me i was ineligible for any incentives as it was past the preorder date....screwed up logic

I sure like the idea on the in-game eg-900 pre-built for my blasting pleasure , I don't

 know if there are upgrades at the bench , but that's okay , just clutching that weapon will

 make me feel like I am protected against any evil / government threat !

I don't care what I get for a pre order bonus. This franchise is going the same way Hitman did unfortunately. 

All this preorderbonus splitting, preorder bonuses in the first place and all teh DLC these days are the main reason I don't buy games anymore if I can help it. Still get to play them all though.

Until they get back to normal sales and put out quality expansions again instead of modular DLC I will not support them if I don't have to.

Pre-order bonuses are getting a bit out of hand nowadays. It took me weeks to decide where to order L.A. Noire from because of all the different offers. Although, if Dead Space 3 will let you craft your own weapons on the work benches, couldn't you just make the pre-order weapons yourself?

i loved both dead space games can't wait for the third game. wonder if i can do what i did on the last 2 games and get all the achievements. look forward to playing

which retailer gives you the survival horror game?

The original Dead Space was superior to the sequel in every way.  On the first one, I couldn't put the controller down.  On the second one, it was hard to pick the controller up. 

Hope I can get the American Version now. I have the DS 2 Limited Edition but is European, so, I just can't download DS Severed and get other "extra weapons", but, it came with DS Extraction to compensate, which is scary as the 1st DS!

And we all get them after waiting a little while and the pre-order dlc simply becomes cheap-order dlc later.  Whatever you didn't get will end up being there to buy for $0.99 later.

Pretending for a moment that the game wasn't already worthless due to content rating, I really don't think this game has any more promise than, say, Monster Hunter, and probably sounds about as original and exciting as that lackluster other. I would have to see some MAJOR innovation and an astonishing manipulation of plot strings to ever make me think this was nothing but a contrived mutilation of the zombie and space-survival-horror genres...Which I sincerely doubt.

i just couldn't finish ds2 because it was just too damn scary, playing through the game was torture not joy, now with co-op i might actually enjoy this game, not as a survival horror game but as a action shooter :-)

EA's Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3 each have less pre-orders than the universally detested XCOM First person shooter!

This knowledge restores my faith in the integrity of my fellow gamers!

This is a "Wait for the reviews" game.  It looks like they've taken it further and further away from what made the series unique.

And we saw what that did to Hitman: Absolution.  Not a bad 3rd-person, cover-based-stealth/action game.  Just not a good Hitman game.

Where Absolution was a knock-off of Splinter Cell: Conviction, with some Hitman elements left lying around after the move, I'm guessing Dead Space 3 will end up as something of a Gears of War knockoff in a DS skin.

Personally, I like pre-order add-on content. I pre-order pretty much any game that I strongly suspect I'm going to like, as long as I can afford it. And for clarification that's typically based on previous entries in the series being games I like (Borderlands, Batman, Bioshock, Dead Space, inFAMOUS, Call Of Duty, etc.), subject matter or characters (Aliens / Predator, Bayonetta, Marvel & DC Superheroes) or consistently strong outings from a particular developer (Platinum Games). As much as I deal shop and get used games as much as possible, I'm all about supporting the devs who do great work and provide me with many hours of top quality enjoyment. So if the devs want to throw in extra content as a sort of reward or incentive for me purchasing their product at full list price, I'm totally cool with it and thank-you for doing so.

What I guess I don't understand about this is why so many people are pissing and moaning about this? I mean, you don't like pre-order content, then either don't pre-order the game or don't download the content. I'm not sure why there's animosity about this. Seems like a non-issue. I don't get what's so wrong about this. It's no diffrent than any other manufacturer incentive on any product. Just a part of business folks.....

Don't worry, they will release it 6 months down the road when nobody buys it.  lol!

Why do people still fall for this DLC pre-order bullshit?  Clearly the companies that offer this stuff think their target audience is STUPID! 

Not only should you NOT pre-order this shit, you shouldn't buy it, PERIOD!

I only preorder games now so I can just pick it up on my way home without TOO much of a hassle. It's hardly an incentive to pre-order a game solely for a couple of weapons or costumes Now if it's some GAME ALTERING bonus, than that's a completely different story..

This kind of practice ALWAYS puts me off buying games at launch.
