Dungeon Fighter Live: Fall of Hendon Myre to feature three playable classes and drop-in online and offline multiplayer.
Nexon has announced the release date of its upcoming spin-off to the Dungeon Fighter Online franchise.
Dungeon Fighter Live: Fall of Hendon Myre will be available as an Xbox Live Arcade release on July 13. The action RPG features online and offline co-op for up to four players and will also have drop-in and drop-out options mid-stage. The game is tailored like a 2D side-scrolling brawler reminiscent of past titles like Final Fight and Streets of Rage.
Players can choose from three classes: the offense-heavy slayer, the ranged-focused gunner, and the nimble fighter. The in-game sprites from the original PC title will get a high-definition treatment for up to 720p.
The action role-playing title will cost 800 Microsoft points.
@OmegaSabre I don't see anywhere where it says.. 'less content'.. Not to mention it's being upgraded to 720p vs it's mega pixel looks right now.. If you don't want to pay for an upgrade, then ah well. So sick of the QQ... Meh, folks these days.
@OmegaSabre Ah the fewer class thing. Ok so i take back the less content thing, but it'll most likely become DLC. Perhaps not.. who cares... Golden axe only had 3 people to pick from.. loved that game. Doubt this is meant to be compared to AAA games at 2d and 10 dollars.. either way it's like complaining about getting variety.
The pc version is actually...kind of awesome. The classes are very unique and diverse and the pve is quite fun. Even better is the pvp which actually takes quite a lot of skill surprisingly. If this game had better graphics I think it could have been a huge success.
@2bitSmOkEy It turns into the typical Korean hardcore grind to level after not too long. The pvp is actually pretty good so if you're into that I would recommend it.
The graphics call out is BS because it doesn't even come close to hurting Minecraft LOL
It's just a Naruto clone......and it's free on PC.....I'll pass.
I never heard of this before now and now that I have I wish I hadn't......
@MJ12-Conspiracy how dose this have anything to do with trashuto? at all jeez go play your junky Naruto fighter see you. anyway game looks cool ill look into it
@BillyColeman Look at the character designs, they look just as trashy as Naruto......I hate that kind of Anime, I prefer shows like Berserk, Darker Than black or Ghost In The Shell. I'm not touching this for 3 reasons....
1 it looks like Naruto
2 I hate MMO's
3 it's free on PC......
You must live under a rock because there has been plenty of GOOD beat em ups after the 16 bit era. It wouldn't take much effort to list a few.
And I guess your just a different kind of gamer. Most would know better, not to completely judge a game by its art work.
@Phrostbyte101 Ya know what i like a good brawler but nobody knows how to make a good one anymore, not since the 16 bit era, the closest anyone got was Rockstar when they did The Warriors. I like a wide variety of games just not this k,ind of trash, simple cash ins and pre-teen Anime look alikes......
Yeah, I'm silly and narrow minded because I see a bad deal and because I like good games?? go, get your head examined......seriously, go NOW!
@MJ12-Conspiracy Wish I was as narrow minded as you, wouldn't of wasted so much time on some great games because of some silly reasons.
@MJ12-Conspiracy is there a naruto game thats a side scrolling beat-em-up? i played this for a bit, and its like an arcade style beat-em-up game. It's actually pretty fun with friends

I ubderstand that the game is free And more in depth (more characters more to do etc) however you cheap assholes need to realize that for one not everyone has a computer to play this on, I would know I sell computers, two that the less affluent of us don't have the luxury or funds available to spend more than what they may have for an Xbox resulting in a computer that wouldn't be able to support this game or others like it(I love Nexon) I would know, I build computers, and finally for those of us who own he game but no game pad, it shortly becomes the reason for a visit to the doctors office because the addictive gamePlay along with the Frantic input that has claimed more than its fair share of keyboards, is a painful way of getting carpal tunnel(been on both sides of this situation). Being sold on the XBLA remedies all of this so 800 points, for a greAt game that thousands wouldn't be able to play otherwise anyway(and that most of you invested more money into anyway) seems like a wonderful idea to me. In closing, you Sony whores should stay off of this page and follow it on your own console, oh wait, it's not coming out on your console now, is it? And wait a minute seeing in the likelihood of the 360's Internet browser being a lot more capable anyways, who is to say that come December we wouldn't be able to access the entire game from the comfort of our controllers(or Kinects) anyway.
i love the original F2P version, but whatever Im still excited... especially after seeing the anime this is most likely based on. im getting more into the DF series again
@3v1LR0n1N There's an anime that is based on the game, so I think you just had it backwards. The character designs look kind of 'funny' compared to the game's, but I hear it's a good anime. It's titled Arad Senki: Slap Up Party I believe.
@Jaxith no no im saying this version is based on the anime.... i know the anime is based on the nexon game :P
@Jaxith I'm hoping that's the case though i kinda like the anime's story.... if not that's okay I'm sure it'll be at least decent story at least and an awesome one at most...cross your fingers for the latter
Ah, gotcha. You mean storywise? That would make sense. I had heard that DF Live was supposed to be more 'story focused'. I hadn't given it much thought though. ...Neat.
@Jaxith well i mean DF live appears to be based on the anime
What anime is that? :)
so yeah why not just go play the full mmo version of dungeon fighter online for free? Its not a demanding game at all being 2d and all so most people can run it on their pcs. Seems like a missed opportunity to. The first company to accept f2p will have an ace up their sleeve and so far that has been sony
@Numbuh277 $10 is practically free for those of us that work.
@TrueGB Haha, pretty much. A pound of Roast Beef is $10-11, so I'm not going to complain about a $10 game.
@Numbuh277 You've played the unreleased xbox360 version then? I agree why pay money for something you can get for free, but you never know if they might add content or maybe even not charge you for customization of your character like in the pc version.

As nice as these games appear, they are based on older game formulas with minimal change. This is also a spinoff of the FREE Dungeon Fighter Online; having it on XBLA doesn't justify the price tag for me, especially if it's not leaps better from the actual game.
