I would really like to play as an Indian tribe in the game, however I don't have a credit card to buy the DLC through Steam.
Empire: Total War on Warpath in Oct.
Steam-exclusive add-on campaign introduces five Native American nations, new single-player mode, units, technologies.
Sega and The Creative Assembly may have announced Napoleon: Total War as part of GamesCom 2009, but the duo isn't quite done skirmishing in this year's Empire: Total War. This week, Sega announced Empire: Total War - The Warpath Campaign will be available exclusively through Valve's online platform Steam in October for $9.99.
As its title indicates, The Warpath Campaign introduces into Total War's hallmark action-strategy gameplay five new Native American factions: the Iroquois, the Huron, the Plains, the Pueblo, and the Cherokee. The new nations will receive their own North America-centric single-player campaigns set in new locations and an alternate start date from Empire: Total War proper. Gamers can also play as chieftain of one of the tribes in online multiplayer matches.
The Warpath Campaign will also introduce a variety of new units and technologies. Elite units coming with the expansion include the Mohawk Elite Warriors, Cheyenne Dog Soldiers, and Navajo Scout Warriors. Two new agent classes, the shaman and the scout, will offer new infiltration and sabotage capabilities. The expansion pack also features 18 tribal technologies, ranging from spirit medicine to the call of the wild to dream walking.
