I agree with speedster39. Really, i think best thing ever happened to gaming world is Halo 3, but there was something for everyone.

Awesome, yeah Call of Duty 4 is the best game ever made as ar as i'm concerned. Call of Duty will always be one step inhead of the market when it comes to first person shooters. I thought no. 3 was good, COD 4 was.....well revolutionary!!

COD4 will easily surpass 10M units sold worldwide because it is easily in the top3 best games of each platform last year, and best seller up of until now. Activision should not rush another COD game. They should make an expansion for COD4, if they feel like they need to cash on the hype.

Get your facts straight, Im pretty happy they did, but don't confuse the UK and England, its insulting to the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish. On topic, this is depressing. They release pretty much the same game every year and it still sells. At least in Football Manager there are major changes such as feeder clubs, scouting reports, assisten manager team reports etc. and big changes to the interface. For once I would like EA to introduse more in-depth career modes and maybe introduce a player career mode, like the one that was in ISS 2000 for the 64. At least it stood out.

But these people are todays role models, setting examples for youth everywhere, there actions are replicated by youth up and down the country. And no, not ALL the UK's 'problems' Thats a stretch even by my eyes. But moron football players, their actions and theyre huge wages make for incredibly bad role models. Combined with the lack of parenting in todays world, and governments complete inability to solve issues in the proper way are the cause for pretty much all of our problems. The rest is economy and the weather.

Why is it that FIFA tops our charts every year? it's boring and every year's game is almost identical to the previous year. Why do football fans love spending £40-£50 every year on the same game. Surely you must want something different.

Glad to see the DS getting some love over on the other side of the pond. I have always thought it was a highly under rated system filled with titles for all ages.

I agree with diablobasher that certain footballers (Rooney and co) have been negligent and irresponsible in their position as role models lately. However to attribute the countries youth problem to football is shockingly reductive, there are a lot worse things than football that can influence the population. Don't forget that football also has positive aspects in the sense of community and belonging it can offer to people. Disclaimer: I don't support football but appreciate it as a sport and will watch the world cup. Football games however are great fun. @Diablobasher How can football be at fault for all the problems in the U.K? Knife crime and sexual attacks all because some guys kidk a football about.....um ok. Maybe its the fact that parents are lazy and cant teach their kids right from wrong. Footballers dont all get up to stupid things the vast majaority are fine people.

play pes 2008 on pc then download the option file game plays and looks better than fifa and has all the kits etc how you can compare fifas slow sluggish game play to pes's smooth fast slick gameplay is beond me LIVERPOOL FC 4 EVER!

I am ashamed to live in England right now. Football is the worst thing about this country, it's a complete joke, it's the idolisation of the monkeys that play this game that is causing such a problem with our youth. Idiots who can barely string a sentence together, get drunk and end up in sex scandals or assaults/drunk driving ect every five minutes, and people look up to them... What a complete joke. The game is absolute rubbigh to boot, even if i liked football, the game is Junk. There are so many other good games that really dont even get a looking from your general ignoramus. Like GrimGrimoire, or Persona 3, heck even things like Mass Effect only sell to 'geeks' or 'nerds' here, it's all about football, wrestling, and kiddy games for the children. Sickening.

Well in live in England and i feel sickened and sad that a rubbish money grabbing game like FIFA08 is at number one, each year we get yet another crappy game and like morons people go out and buy them for £39+ just to have a few extra players. I mean seriously these games just keep getting worse, best FIFA game was 03.

FIFA 08 is a great game but not on all consoles , the X360 version is in my opinion the best FIFA thus far and it really put PRO 08 in the corner this year, but as far as the PC version of FIFA 08 can go , it really was a big disappointment to me , there is really nothing new here ,except for the Be-a-Pro mode ,& other than that, it almost feels & plays identical to FIFA 07 ,i really had big hopes for FIFA 08 this year but it looks like EA Sports didn't put that much effort in the PC & PS2 version's of the game and concentrated on Next-Gen consoles which is some what good & bad at the same time.

everyone only brought wii play as you got an extra controller with it, normal ones was hard to find come christmas, so many ppl i know just got wii play and got the controller with that

To be honest that list wasnt as bad as I thought it'll be, As much as I dislike EA Im not bothered with Fifa 08 being the best selling game; theres no doubt that it was the best football(soccer) game this year, and really for a nation that takes our football seriously, that game was bound to sell like mad. Though im glad theres no rubbish such as Need for Speed or The Sims in that list. (Mind you Wii play annd WWE Smackdown were pretty awful)

I guessed at some point, PES will lose the throne to FIFA and it is now. Well donut, here's hoping for an evolution for PES in the future.

I kind of expected the DS and 360 to come out on top for this gen...but what the hell?PS2 is still around on top,well,the explanation is people in other countries are,for some reason(and I've witnessed this several times in several countries),people take pride in their PS2's and its "beastly" game library.I have to admit,it does have alot of good games,but alot of the games for PS2 are trash,especially this gen and everyone probably already played through all the good games.Just wait another year,DS will stay on top for software,but systemwise,It's hard to tell whether 360 will win or PS3 will catch up with its major potential...other than that,every time I'm paired with Brits(and it happens often) on Gears of War or Halo 3 via Xbox Live,I lag like hell.Some of you might think,why Fifa?But all of you know most people in other countries are diehard soccer fans and would prefer watching or playing soccer over playing the best games(from our point of view) any day.

Thank god. Pro evo is a joke in my opinion, because it started out well but slowly decayed as time went on. I can hope that it offers some...well...EVOLUTION WOULD BE NICE, but if just watching FIFA be a better game, well then...that's cool too.
