The BioShock Infinite ending will be unique and unprecedented, according to Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine, but what about its opening sequence?
Today, Irrational Games released a video of BioShock Infinite's first five minutes. The video, obviously, contains numerous spoilers. It is embedded below.
BioShock Infinite was delayed earlier this month and is now due March 26, 2013. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

mm, not entirely sure whether this will live up to what Bioshock 1 & 2 set up. i'm still rather upset over it not being in rapture, make no mistake, this game looks like it's going to be good or even great, but it might not be bioshock great. i'll be keeping an eye on this one.
2 Like @squidshoggoth Bioshock 2 wasn't made by irrational because Ken didn't want to go back to rapture and shoe-horn in a bunch of characters that were mysteriously never mentioned in the first game, a.k.a lamb. I'm personally way more excited for the new setting, plus fighting on those skylines looks bad ass. I think another corridor shooter would have been boring.

@June-GS it's only the opening sequence anyway.
So even if you don't watch it, you'll see it for yourself the moment you start a new game. So you're not really spoiling anything.

So, what's up with the dead guy upstairs? Why didn't he pay any attention to it? He saw blodstains on the walls and not for a sec thought of reaching for his gun? Why would he seat on a stranger chair with "hand straps" in plain sight?
2 Like its ok, but the first bioshocks intro takes a massive shit on this. Im not digging the voiced protaganist and the lack of atmosphere is a dissapointment (the guy that has been tortured in the chair does not add to the atmosphere whatsoever
@Prats1993 The "atmosphere" is different. This intro does an amazing job of presenting the player with surreal exposition and religious allegory. It's definitely more thought provoking than the original BioShock.
I wasn't convinced by this game at first. This clip has gone a long way towards convincing me that this will be a great game!!!
@UnaSolida Really? The underlying themes presented in the first five minutes are exhilarating if you ask me. Peaks my curiosity.

Immediately after this video: You get a full view of the city, a splicer knocks on your bathysphere, you get contacted by Atlas.....oh wait wrong game
I will not be watching the video or beginning, as I'm looking forward to popping this game in fresh.

Wow the Dialog between the 2 on the Row boat was freaking anoying if thats a preview of how the dialogs gonna be thru out the whole game then this could quite possibly be the most annoying game of 2013. Overall the whole scene was rather meh nothing to interesting from what I've seen of this game so far it's bedn pretty boring nothing to interesting. I played the 1st Bioshock and was bored sensless I was really excited to get but was bored to death once I played it. This one looked interesting because it seemed as though they weren't doing the same things as the first game but the more I see of the more it looks like the original Bioshock BORING!!!!
@Marky360 I think the conversation in the beginning was suppose to erk you. You could tell the main character was definitely annoyed. Being annoyed, in my opinion at least, is what the developers intended. If subsequent conversations and the rest of the story evokes the same level of emotional response it'll definitely help develop a deeper personal attachment to the main character, also providing a surprisingly amount of depth to any sort of moral choice system.
