[UPDATE] Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in spring 2013, with pre-orders for the game beginning on November 5 this year. Click here for the full story.
A tweet from a branch of UK retailer GAME has all but confirmed GTA V's rumoured Spring 2013 release date. The tweet--which was originally discovered by IGN and has since been removed--showed promotional artwork from the game, all of which was plastered with "Pre-Order Now Spring 2013". GAME's website lists the sequel's release date as TBC 2013.
The tweet follows rumours from a Polish GTA fan site GTA-Five.pl, which posted pictures of promotional posters for the game yesterday. Those posters also showed a Spring 2013 release date. Last week, Rockstar released the official artwork for the game, and promised that more details would be released in November.
GTA V was announced last October. Some analysts expect it to be on store shelves by March 2013, while others are predicting a longer wait. For more on GTA V, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

R* can suck my left n*t. I won't bother with the console version. I'm not planning on buying the game for PC. Saving my $ for Watchdogs.
I don't pre order games unless i know for sure that they would be brilliant, i pre ordered skyrim, fifa 12, gt5, and AC revalations. Sure i love the GTA games but they get cheap really quickly so i'm going to wait for a while after it comes out
As for a PC release if it happens...
Will rockstar optimise it for PC if it gets released? Im saying No.
Will rockstar include SLI & Crossfire support? Im saying No.
Will we need a top end gpu to run the game on Low? Yes.
Will you be able to customise the graphical settings on day 1? No.
How many patches will it need before its playable? Im saying 6.

3 Like This will prolong the current gen. This is a game that Sony and MS needed to push their next gen consoles but they waited too long and Rockstar can't wait any longer. Sony and MS missed a golden opportunity by waiting too long. The rest of will enjoy this without needing to buy new hardware.

Slow development in visual graphic is consoles fault. Since the console games are the only one selling well.

In the USA and some other regions in the Northern Hemisphere, the astronomical March equinox (currently around 21 March) is often taken to mark the first day of spring, and the Northern solstice is sometimes taken as the first day of summer (usually 21 June in the Northern Hemisphere).
So *maybe* in April like GTA IV.

getting it on ps3 when it comes out but i hope they consider a pc version as i like to keep all my games on steam.

@omenjamlord i have so many hard copys of my games for ps1 ps2 and ps3 some pc games but some times there is no more space for all the games so digital download it is XD
I got a coupon with my purchase of Max Payne (release day purchase) from Futureshop (Canadian Best Buy subsidiary) for $20 off GTA V between Feb1-May31. So I'm guessing it should come out by the end of May,

I'm all set to add another 4GB GTX 670 (SLI) in my pc rig, as well as overclock the I7 up to 5GHz, once GTA:V arrives on the pc. Also maxing out system memory to 16 or 32GB as well.
Damn, i hope i can stomach the console version until Rockstar releases the pc version..
@PhilipO45 Yeah, if it's optimized like GTA 4 was you can ask Intel to give you a personalized future 12 core 14nm processor and install the game directlly in the RAM with a data-center full of nVidia's GTX 690 and you will still lag. sloppy programming/porting will crash/bottleneck any machine.

I would not me LOL'ing at pc gamers. GTA:IV moded looks better then the pic of V as it is now, and add in a playable FP view and so many other sweet mods, that gives so much length to any GTA game.

I'd be surprised if Game themselves are still in operation by spring 2013!!! But as for GTA, I admit that it seems plausible. all BIG rockstar titles usually have an April / May release schedule. anyway, who cares. just release it when it's ready, no rush, no panic. just make it the best game of whichever year you decide to release it. I'll be waiting for an "official" announcement in the mean time. I think we already know it's going to be amazing.
1 Like I'm guessing a May 5th release. Then they can advertise it 5-5-5. GTA 5 - May - 5th or something along those lines. You know game and movie industries just love these 'clever' dates.
