Halo 4 live-action Web series due this fall

Thi is going to be EPIC!!!

I so wish a Halo movie would get made.  I still think the movie industry completely undervalues the strong following from the gaming community.

The movie was cancelled because Microsoft doesn't know anything about making movies. They wanted Jackson and Blomkamp to pay 1st class plane tickets for all Halo developers AND get at least $70 million of the profits. This is not how the movie industry works so Blomkamp and Jackson said screw this.

The worst thing they could do is give Master Chief a face. that would be like giving Link a voice, or having Ryu take his mask off..... oh wait someone already screwed that one up.

I wonder if because were going to be seeing chief from a third perspective, does this mean we get to see him without helmet?

@dnarox They never said Master Chief would be training him. They just said that the soldier was inspired by Master Chief. That being said, why can't they just make the movie already?

AWESOME Halo directed by Peter Jackson would of been even more epic though, o well STILL CAN'T WAIT even although I don't have a xbox 360 -_-

Don't worry. If the Last Airbender proved anything its that a franchise can survive after an abysmal live-action movie that lost over 100 million bucks.

I'm excited, but also a little bit worried, too. Live-action videos and movies have a bad habit of ruining some of my favorite games.

With the previous Halo Live-Action advertisements done by Microsoft, I have no doubt the series will be great! However, getting the right people to make the perfect Halo film and not screwing it up (like Last Air Bender, Dragon Ball Z and others) will be incredibly hard. Nevertheless, it'll be awesome!

75 minutes of live-action Halo? I'm pretty excited by this. If it goes well some big directors might finally show some interest in producing a Halo film.

i think when ever this great series end's :( i think we will be able to look back at one of the best series ever.just look at what it started as just another shooter on the pc and then it grew into one of the largest and most well known games ever.all most anyone who has played a game in the past 10 years has heard of HALO. and now with this live action series it is just adding more and more stuff to the halo universe that is not to mention all the books and machinamas that have come from this game and the couple of animated movies that are out there and it just keeps growing. can't wait for the live action series or the next enstallment in the series with halo 4 even if i do have some reservation about 343 taking over and some of the things thay are doing but i still think it will be great.

Awesome. Might not be a Halo movie, but perhaps that's for the best, seeing how most Hollywood blockbusters rarely match the exact tone or visuals of their source material. I'd like to see how this web series turns out, though.

That's awesome, really. While watching Game of Thrones, I got to wondering how the Halo extended universe might fare adapted into a big-budget television series. Hopefully the web series is well received.

Well, it's not that Halo movie everyone wants, but it's pretty darn close. Can't wait!

Sweet. What I really want in Halo 4 is a logical out come to the Humans/Covernant forming an allience against the flood after the event of 3... Ergo, that makes humans the newest member of the newly directed covernant (no longer misled by the prophets)... which means I want to fight side by side with Elites once more, jointly leading grunts, brusers AND UNSC marines into the fray... epic.

This hopefully will be very good. They (Microsoft) recognize this a premier property worth litterally billions. They can't afford to screw it up. The one concern i have is making it appeal to other audiences, i wonder if there will be enough meat there for hardcore fans. Ultimately it will be good tool for them to gauge receptiveness towards a movie and the potential investment (sure to be over 100million to be done right). As for the movies i truely hope that they look to the books for the story. There is a lot of depth there.

This is gonna be awesome. It reminds me of the good old days when Halo did a bunch of stuff to lead up to their massively hyped games and it made getting the game that much sweeter. So stoked for everything to do with Halo 4.

I want to say the series may end up better than the game, but I fear I may get torn to pieces.

5 episodes, 15 minutes a piece, sounds like we're getting that Halo movie after all.

If they are good as the live-action ones for Reach, I'll be watching the ones for 4 regardless of my lack of interest in the game.

I thought the Halo Reach live action trailers were excellent. I have no doubt Microsoft could dump a ton of money into this to make it great.
