PC version only SKU to include original Mass Effect DLC on-disc; PC and Xbox 360 iterations get Cerberus Network and Online Pass access; no word on DLC for PS3 version.
One of the main questions that remained last week when BioWare announced the Mass Effect Trilogy was what gamers could expect in the way of downloadable content. BioWare has now answered that question, revealing offerings for every version of the compilation pack will differ.
As detailed through the game's website, the PC version of Mass Effect within the Trilogy will include the Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station DLC on-disc.
For Mass Effect 2, the Cerberus Network will be included (this features Zaeed: The Price of Revenge, The Firewalker Pack, Cerberus Assault Gear, Arc Projector weapon, and the Normandy Crash mission). For Mass Effect 3, BioWare has included access to the game's Online Pass, which unlocks the game's multiplayer component.
The Xbox 360 version of the Mass Effect Trilogy will not include the original Mass Effect's Bring Down the Sky or Pinnacle Station DLC. These are available for download via separate purchase through the Xbox Live marketplace for $1 and $5 respectively. Like the PC version, the Mass Effect Trilogy on Xbox 360 includes the Cerberus Network for Mass Effect 2 and Online Pass for Mass Effect 3.
BioWare did not share any details regarding DLC for the PS3 version of the Mass Effect Trilogy.
The Xbox 360 and PC versions of the Mass Effect Trilogy ship on November 6, while the PS3 iteration is coming sometime later. The original Mass Effect will also be made available for individual purchase through the PlayStation Network.

i dont think any of the dlc listed in this trigoly carries over expect i know they talk the dlc mission in mass effect 2 from mass effect 1 but the dlc they are offering for mass effect 2 is bs you have to pay i think 800 mircosoft points i could be wrong i think they should include all dlc for all three games or if they still have dlc coming out for three then atleast include all the dlc for mass effect 3 so far
I already own ME2 and ME3 on ps3 so the trilogy does not interest me. Im curious to see when they release ME1 on psn the price, and also if they have updated the graphics engine (like they did with ME2)
when the new mass effect trilogy is released what happens for people who already have me2 on ps3 with the cerberus dlc. i mean the genesis interactive comic with the 6 important choices. will we have to delete the entire cerberus dlc to avoide having to make them 6 choices again when we try to import our me1 save file. its just a thought i had because there are other parts of the cerberus dlc that i would like to keep. eg. normandy crash site, zaeed, and wepons and armor.
1 Like will wait for a complete version (after all DLCs for ME3 and including all ME2 DLCs), this is intended for new starters who never bought ME, for people who already played all three games but want a collectors set I think waiting for a new re-released is best...
1 Like The trilogy is irrelevant, at least on PC, as individual games cost less than this package. Also it's insulting to re-release a compilation of incomplete games (except 1st of course). Not to mention the entire DLC content for Mass Effect 2 still cost a fortune and that single player DLC for Mass Effect 3 keeps popping up at certain moments in time. Hope they'll loose money over this crappy release.
this is the business that complains about loosing lorryloads of money and blames their customers....stop p*****g off your consumers and go back to give them what they want instead of telling them "do it my way or take the highway". trilogy, my foot, it is me1 and 2 and the multi player, still waiting for the real me3!
2 Like REALLY? YOU Cheapos couldn't include ANY sort of DLC for the Xbox players? WE are the ones who bought your games from day one when they were first available on the XBOX. And watch, they're keeping the PS3 announcement hush hush becuase you know theyre going to announce some or all DLC for the PS3 available on the trilogy pack. JUST like they did for the Mass Effect 2 release. Total and utter bs. You would think, you WOULD THINK they would respect their fanbase and include even a season pass for ME3 for upcoming dlc. Ugh this just pisses me off, the entire game industry has gone to shit.

2 Like The most awesome thing they could do would be, making all the 3 games with the same game mechanics (abilities, rpg features, etc) , so when you finish one game you don't need to "adapt" to the next one, same thing with the flow between the games making them more like one game with 3 chapters. Oh well I'm asking to much..
I can't wait to hear PS3 users opinions of the first Mass Effect game. There is no shortage of people that said the ruin started with ME2 or ME1 coming to PC months later after the 360 counterpart (as surreal as it sounds, I'm not kidding).

Okay I'm going to play devil's advocate for a moment. To anyone who feels like this setup is foolish I personally agree. But for those thinking about it is greed consider it this way. If Bioware/EA had decided to release the entire trilogy with all the DLC they would've received an equal amount of criticism for their greed as they sought to "capitalize on those who would've preferred to not download everything in the first place". While I personally would've preferred they take the other route I can understand the reasoning and so won't hold it against them. So while the hate, against EA in particular, is easily justified; I think we can (and should) just let this particular incident slide. On I'm unrelated note, this was my first attempt to use the iPad's dictation feature. It didn't work out too bad. Only about a dozen or so mistakes I had to fix. :)

5 Like This is just silly. I have all 3 ME games and about all of the DLC. The only reason for me to get the Trilogy would be to have the entire collection in one package, as opposed to various formats (disc/digital download) and different accounts that serve the various DLC. This trilogy might be ok for those who have not played through the whole series, but for anyone who has, it just comes up short.
Goddamnit! I'm getting more and more excited for the original ME in the PSN. Y U NO release it in Nov. 6!

4 Like I wish EA would be more thoughtful for collector gamers and big fans of the series who prefer to have the complete contents of the games in secured disc form rather than downloading them into their hard drives.
@jark888 I agree wholeheartedly. If the DLC were included on the discs I would have NO HESITATION buying this set, but because they're not, I am wondering what the real point of buying it is. People hassle EA for being moneyhungry but I wasn't really convinced; this just seems proof of the fact that they actually are.
If ps3 user, are wondering. They plan the put the first on the psn store, the same time the trilogy comes out.

2 Like Well It's not like I'm complaining about there not being any real DLC for each game, but EA should have realized that they would have sold a LOT more of this had they included at least the big DLC's for each game. (Bring Down the Sky ME1. Shadow Broker and Arrival ME2, and the Prothean ME3)

1 Like After buying the games for over $50 a game, no I will not be buying the DLC version for another $60 witch does not have all the content. Its still not worth having to play everything all over again, when I can see all the endings on youtube for free.

@crunchb3rry A bait-and-switch is a scheme where you advertise a cheap product to people. When they come to buy it, you refuse to sell that cheap product (by saying that the cheap product ran out) and will only sell an more expensive product. A bait-and-switch doesn't really apply here.

You only go to those sales, because you need a car, and have about $10,000. Or, can afford a $10,000 loan. Once you get there, they reveal they juuuuuuuuuuuust sold out of the last $10,000 car. Who cares that it's 10 minutes after opening, they sold out. BUT! You're in luck! They have a $12,000 Civic! And well, you need a car, and you're already there. Labor Day won't be for another year, and if anyone else in town had a better deal, you'd be there, wouldn't you? so you have $10,000 and need a car, and they have a car and want $12,000. You'll cave. It's not about being a moron, or desperate.
