man, i'm just waiting for the confirmation it will be real snipers in the game, i mean, not quick scope, but, a big map for snipers^^
[UPDATE] North American trailers for Danger Close's new shooter indicate EA planning global launch this fall for shooter sequel; preorders unlock sniper.
Electronic Arts is going to war this October. Medal of Honor: Warfighter will deploy on October 23, according to a new trailer for the game.
A debut trailer for Medal of Honor: Warfighter (embedded below) posted to Electronic Arts' official YouTube channel reveals the game's release date. A European trailer for the game was also spotted bearing an October 23 ship date, pointing to Electronic Arts planning a global launch for the new shooter. Typically, software arrives in Europe on Fridays.
The October release date coincides with a report from last month, pointing to a fall release for the game. Contacted for comment regarding the game's launch date, EA pointed GameSpot to the trailer.
As for the trailer, it displays the game's Tier 1 operators, with a voice-over uttering superlatives about the soldiers. These phrases include, "Our brothers say they aren't even human," "They breathe water and change shape," and "They can see in the dark and are always watching."
The trailer shows a range of locales and vehicles, including water-based scenarios, with operators piloting weaponized boats, as well as on-foot scenes in buildings.
The video also indicates that those who preorder Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be upgraded to the limited edition of the game. EA has not mentioned what will be in the limited edition of the title.
Developed by the original game's Danger Close studio, Warfighter will run on EA DICE's Frostbite 2.0 engine, which powered Battlefield 3.
EA is holding a Medal of Honor event tonight in San Francisco where additional details concerning Medal of Honor: Warfighter are likely to be shared.
[UPDATE] In a subsequent announcement, EA further revealed what gamers can expect from MOH: Warfighter, saying that the game "goes beyond Afghanistan," as the US' elite Tier 1 operators take the fight to terrorists around the world. These locations include the Philippines and Somalia.
EA also announced the Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition, which gamers will receive through preordering the game. Preorderers will be able to download the US Navy SEAL Tier 1 Sniper, an unlock that would otherwise require about 40 hours of gameplay. The download will be available upon the game's launch on October 23.
Those who keeps complaining at the end they will buy this game. Yes it's competition who makes better games and improve their products. True gamers play for fun. BF2, BF3, cod, moh, and any incoming shooting games they are all good and never gets old.
i hated moh at first because i liked bfbc2 so much, but when bf3 came out and the controls became so janky and the aim was horrible and to much recoil i played moh a few more times and fell in love with the online. i hope they dont change the recoil and etc. if they do ill be dissapointed its the only reason i quit playing bf3 after only 2 months
We'll have to see.. I got my hands full on BF3 right now. And Im pretty sure they will release a new DLC content for this year! Cheers~
those arent going to be the in-game graphics, most games have trailers with insane graphics, the the in-game cut scenes are a LITTLE bit worse that those, then the actual gameplay graphics are also alitttle below those, just my thoughts
if the those are the real In Game graphics and they pull out a great story line and graphics we might have the "most improved franchise of 2012"
Well Frostbite 2 is always a good to start, looks like with graphics alone its already better than the first one.
Looks good and I will get it but it looks like EA is turning into COD, milking the fps market after all these debates and arguments, it looks like we're all the same haha. not
@Winchester01 no disrespect but Medal of Honor was released on PlayStation on November 11, 1999, call of duty developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision in 2003 and Battlefield 1942 was released on September 10, 2002 (pc). Whos copying who ? The BF and COD boys got on the MOH band wagon and MOH was really really good in its day, ps1 was brilliant even Spielberg got involved in the making!! i see your point there are a lot of fps war shooters around, though each are different in styles bF is totally different to COD, they all were then too!! I take it your not a fps fan ??
@fightingfish18 Yeah, but they brought out BF3 in 2011 (though i have to admit that its a good game), so yeah they might not be milking individual games, but they are milking the modern fps, and you have to see that medal of MoH has become very similar to BF. Also EA brings out many sport games every year, which is just as bad as activision with cod, worse even as there are so many of the damn things. Out of EA and Activision I dont know which is greedier, and which is the most damaging to the industry, but they both suck atm. But as i said; maybe i will be surprised by this game, i sure hope so.
boring. looks exactly like previous moh and bf3. EA smelled the money and now they are doing the exact same thing as activision
@GamerLegend10 To be fair, the last one was released in 2010... So it's not quite as bad as Activision and CoD. This is a buy for me? Day 1? Probably not. Unless they turn out an amazing single player campaign, which they could very well do for all I know. I grew up on MoH games. Rising Sun was my first PS2 game ever. Not to mention I had MoH 1 and Underground on PS1
loved the last medal of honor so i'm stoked for this one. Bring it on with a longer solo campaign mode please.
Sandwiched right between Bioshock Infinite and Assassin's Creed 3. Nice job EA...way to kill any chance of MoH hitting the ground running.
so the choice near the end of this year will be the same as last year, big open world single player game to explore or 4 hours (or less) of single player FPS, same descision this year then bigger and better use of money open world game :-)
Listen to all these spoiled children. Medal of Honor was a fine shooter, certainly beat out COD and Battlefield as far as the feeling of "being there". Amazing graphics, missions, gameplay, gunplay... Apache mission ruled. Ended kind of abruptly though :[ but I guess that's the point. Never tried multiplayer, the only good mp shooter in history is Team Fortress. Very much looking forward to this
Ugh........ the last one was bad, it had an ok campaign, but the multiplayer was sh*t. I am probably not gonna buy this. Sorry EA.
@Vari3ty If you seriously think that Medal of Honor is a generic modern-miliary shooter then obviously you haven't played Medal of Honor. Its one of the best first person shooters with honorable characters, realistic battle tactics, good tension, and at times a little emotional. I suggest you play thru it before you label it a "generic modern-military shooter".
Why not Medal of Honor: Brotherhood? Those units are a tight group, would die for eachother, and consider themselves brothers. The name Warfighter is insulting my intelligence. I know they fight wars! duh!
MetaMods said : "My questions is what is different between Medal Of Honor and Battlefield? They could just release one of those modern FPS games not two different name but almost same game elements." Guess you never played any Medal of Honor on the first Playstation or even the Allied Assault on PC, waaaaaaay before Battlefield even existed... you'd have your answer. There wasn't even a campaign mode in the firsts Battlefield anyway and just that is a major difference! I just hope that Warfighter will focus more on the single player mode(s) while giving a little plus to the multiplayer anyway... more maps and bigger maps!! Can't wait to find out. Those who think that it's "just another generic modern shooter" are all wrong, it's MoH!
I can't wait. This games is gonna be freakin' awesome. I just home that they give us a longer campaign this time. How long till October?
EA your just as bad as activision...ok it has a different name, so what? it still counts as milking, face it you have turned a once great series into a BF clone. Maybe im speaking too soon, perhaps this time it could be good and gain its own identity, but its going to have to be very good and very different from BF and cod if they want me to purchase it, thats not entirely impossible, but i dont have much trust in EA to make this happen.
Going to wait for the patch version in Summer 2013. And wait for the bargain basement price of 10 or less. I have learned my lesson EA.
get rid of spawn deaths and crutty controls,oh and the fact that everyone sniped you as you appeared and it might be ok....will not pre order, its not dat serious!!!!!!!!!
Oh look, another one of those generic modern-military shooters! Thanks EA, but I think I'll pass. I'm going to be playing Borderlands 2 instead.
I'm going to get this game because I liked the last one and this one might be better, we will just have to wait and see.
@momo4070 "if u all remember that MOH ... was the first video game of FPS on pc after ( saving private Ryan ) it was a beast of FPS .." Lolwut?

Medal of Honor: Warfighter doesn't merge its cliched parts into a satisfying whole, making it just another middle-of-the-road military shooter.
