Microsoft lays out E3 promotion
Xbox 360 maker "Bringing It Home" once again with new demos, trailers, themes, video of press conference after the fact.
Last year, Microsoft's "E3: Bringing It Home" promotion attracted gamers to the Xbox 360's online service with a free week of Xbox Live Gold, demos for Lost Planet, Test Drive Unlimited, and Moto GP, and a wealth of new trailers, gamer pictures, and themes. With the E3 Media & Business Summit set to tip off next week, Microsoft today announced that it will once again be "Bringing It Home" for the show.
From Tuesday, July 10 through Friday, July 13, Microsoft will provide Xbox Live users with video updates from the show, demos, trailers, gamer pictures, and themes from upcoming games. However, a Microsoft representative said the company had not made any announcements about free Xbox Live Gold for the week. The promotion is set to feature games such as Assassin's Creed, Guitar Hero III, BioShock, Burnout Paradise, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008, Blue Dragon, and Project Gotham Racing 4.
In addition to game-specific content, Microsoft will offer its E3 press conference in high definition--scheduled for that Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Pacific--later in the week. For more on that event (and the rest of E3) as it happens, check out GameSpot's full E3 coverage.
