Minecraft Lego campaign under way

seems pointless to make legos. the whole game is basically legos, so why would u want to make real life legos from it. its way better in the game since u have infinity blocks

I would buy it in a heartbeat. I've always said Minecraft is like playing with LEGOs,only unlike the real world,your life DEPENDS on playing with them! I want a LEGO Creeper.Ssssss......

How about a campaign to get Minecraft onto PS3? Or perhaps 3DS if you were that way inclined.

That would be cool, just bought a set of Lego for my grandson. I would love to get him some Minecraft Lego. Minecraft is a little like Lego play except a lot more blocks. I remember my son playing with Lego for hours on end when he was small. I made sure he had buckets of them. That would be cute like the others have said Lego Creeper, Lego Enderman. I can totally see it. Doing it for charity also. That's a great Idea. Great work guys.

I hope they make new brick textures with the blocks. Instead of putting on those pesky stickers. Plus,the stickers look ugly. No offence.

There needs to be more official LEGO/video game sets. RDR, Half Life, Elder Scrolls...the possibilities are endless.

I love minecraft and legos (well I did when I was a child), but this seems kinda boring for legos - a brick of dirt? I guess it's cool for the novelty at least.

It's the perfect combination, really.

Everyone hates Minecraft until they try it. I was the same, but if you're a gamer you will appreciate it at least as a fun laptop distraction. What it does well is infinite and random open world landscapes. Think Skyrim with a completely different world every new game, and if you want a castle over there, you put one in.

Minecraft is a brilliant game, just because it doesn't have CoD or BF3 graphics people say it's a crappy or for geeks.

@Oil_rope_bombs I didn't mean free as in price, I meant free as in free building and open world style, where the player is free to play however they choose to the way Minecraft is.

The plural of Lego isn't "Legos". Its Lego. Like when a game hunter says "I'm hunting elephant". Just sayin'.

Outside of gaming geekdom, nobody knows what Minecraft is And if the demographics are the 4 million people who bought the game, how many of those would even bother playing with lego blocks anyway? Oh and you would need to buy several BIG BUCKETS of legos to even resemble Minecraft! So prepare to subsist on a diet of instant noodles cos the last time I checked Legos are NOT exactly cheap toys. Good idea on paper, but ...

Leggo has always been fun, but Imma lil unconfortable if ONLY 1% of the sales is going to charity. If that IS THE CASE then I say f***** Leggo (as obviously the Minecraft branding is what will sell it) 'cause you're eating the whole pie and leaving crumbs >=(

Minecraft is the free building Lego game we always wanted as kids.

@FlavorySoup: Had and still have plenty of Legos. Honestly the fun I have and continue to have with them was the point of my post. I guess I get the collectors item side of it (have a ton of the star wars kits that just stay assembled). The minecraft branding thing just kind of annoys me. If it had something to really distinguish it from "normal" legos like the other branded items (batman, HP, etc) then I would see the point. As far as I can tell aside from slightly different colors the only thing to really make it minecraft would be having the name slapped on the box.

i haven't bought Leggo's in forever, I am totally going to be buying these. Minecraft's blocky texture is so perfect for leggo's.

@StAzKrnchyNMilk I think somebody wasn't given lego's as a kid XD If these do get released I'm defiantly gonna buy some just to put it on my shelf and adore it. For older people it's a collectors item, and for younger people it's a lego set, something to build and have fun with. I commend you sir, I have never been able to get 6 dislikes before, and I hope I never do :D

why the hell would this be needed...? Minecraft is already basically a virtual lego builder visually. Even then its only the block pieces (there-fore allowing less options). So if you like the concept just buy some legos. Is this just some kind of thing so that adults to worried about what people will think if they buy a toy for themselves? So if they slap a minecraft logo on a base kit of legos makes it more "acceptable" in their eyes? Grow up and buy what you want not what people say you should want.

How could you make a Minecraft Lego set? Unless Lego made special blocks that resemble minecraft blocks, for people to build with...

This makes more sense than bread and butter.
