Batista should definatley be marcus fenix no doubt vin diesel as dom ving rhames as cole jason statham as baird awsome cast would make a great movie as long as it dont follow doom and screw around to much with the original story.

After reading some of yours guys comments Vin Diesel does sound pretty good in this movie. I really hope he does play in this movie because I love his Chronicles of Ridick Movie and Pitch-Black.

"they make a gears of war movie but where is the god of war movie doosh"...Its in the works too buddy, I saw it on wikipedia anyway. Theres only ONE WWE superstar for this movie and its Batista as Fenix. Thomas Jane would be OK for Baird, but Baird was kind of a panzy in the game...so I dont know that it would work. Besides hes dong the Punisher 2. Everyone pretty much NAILED Cole, Duncan or Rhames would be a good choice....as far as Dom, ehh does it really matter...what I want to know...is who will be playing the "power ranger" huh? Yeah..think about hahahahah.

This is more a reply to some people that a comment but i hope it helps. Gears isn't set on Earth so the locust ain't the aliens WE are! We inhabited there planet and used the Imulsion *spelt wrong sorry* as a cheap energy source. The locust emerged becuase the Imulsion is required for them to live/ procreate/ religious worship/ feed the dog I don't know. Fenix is in prision because he disobeyed orders and went to try to save his dad, he failed and got court martialed. This is in your instruction booklet and theres a video about emergence day if you leave the game at the main menu for a few minutes. Theres loads more info on this in Wikipedia don't know how much of it is acurate but. A movie would be a good plan to clear up the story before hand. If it is released it seems kinda planned how they left out the storys. Hope that helped someone. a prologue to the 1st gears game would be sweet. how the locusts were created and how they inhabited earth. The big guns pro ball career. why fenix is in jail. who the lady soldier is in relation to fenix and the stories of all the other characters that you fight with in the game.

i also would like to add the World of War crack dosent need any more crap advertisement its just like the damed Ever Crack (quest) i cant say much about it cause im a MMoRPG player in CoV and CoH but i do know when enough gaming is enough b4 my character is LEVEL 70 when yah reach that level your the coolest bad a$$ in the game but in life ur a level 70 MEGA DORK!

Personaly i think that the producers of this movie should lean more towards the beginning of gears of war rather than the game... most new comers to GoW are confused about the beginnin and go "wtf why is fenix in jail?" or "what happened b4 the actual game to lead up to the game?" wait.. i know that last one was dumb but still! they need to probly make 3 movies 1) when fenix join the gears 2)the actual game and last but not least 3) the second gears of war game if it so demes to come out.

Gears movie would be so much better than a World of Warcraft. if you want somthing like that see Lord of The Rings!

They should chose a huge D-Lineman from the NFL to play Coletrain.

Lets just hope the movie is as good as the game itself.

This'll be great if they stick to the game. Even if the acting isn't great(you gotta admit, some of the dialogue in the game was slightly below Shakespearian), if they're true to the game's plot line and focal points, this'll be a great movie. I'm looking forward to seeing the Corpser.

I just hope they don´t screw this film up as they do to all video game based films...... and i hope they won´t use stupid bad actors like Bruce Willis or Vin Diesel ..... YOU ALL MUST AGREE.

Resident Evil movies are fair enough..., every other, IMO, suck. note: Gears is bigger than I though, just the other day I was having lunch with a father of a friend, and he didn't even know that I'm very into video-games and he started talking about this awsome game called Gears..., I thought to myself "look at this dude... he sounds just like a teenager, his freakin eyes are glowing..." I had posted a message, but changed it after looking through all of the others....so just to add/edit the awesomeness of someone's earlier prospective casting... Marcus Fenix - Bruce Willis (see Tears of the Sun, great idea O.P.) Dom Santiago - Vin Diesel (also, a near perfect fit, save for the haircut) Baird - Thomas Jane (see The Punisher/Deep Blue Sea...probly the best fit for this character) Cole - Ving Rhames (Bad ass...see Dawn of the Dead) Also...if they don't go overboard with CGI, go kind of a mix b/w LOTR, Dawn of the Dead and Saving Ryan, the movie could rock. I would suggest James Gunn as the director (he did D.O.D. and Slither...seems good at survival/horror/gory gun fights)

I love it when movies get based on games, even when they suck it's great to see how they've done things. Hell I even loved the Dead or Alive movie just because it was funny to see how they linked it. A World of Warcraft movie though? There is about 8 million accounts on that game for a start so that movie is going to be a big hit even if it is just a fat guy dressed as a cow dancing for 2 hours. ( I know I'd see it)
