PAX coming to Australia in 2013

For the first time ever, the Penny Arcade Expo will be hitting Australian shores.
The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) will be coming to Australia in 2013. Founders Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins announced the news during their PAX Prime panel.
Though exact dates and location has yet to be confirmed, the Australian version of the convention will mark the first time the expo has been hosted internationally. The local event will also gain extra length, extending the duration of the expo to four days.
Currently, PAX events are held on both coasts of the United States: PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington, and PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts. Stay tuned for more details as they're announced.

Exciting news. I was thinking about going to the EB Expo but I might wait till next year for this.
Expect nearly half of the show's attendees to be taken away or eaten by giant spiders, large snakes, kangaroos, and others sorts of deadly creatures.
I kid, I kid, I'd love to go to an Australian PAX, or any PAX for that matter :P
Most of the games shown at PAX are usually banned in australia so I don't see how this is going to work out you'd think the australian government would be completely against this happening.
1 Like @Marky360 Only a handful of games get banned it Australia and it wasn't really because the government were anti video games. It was because the legislation was outdated and the classification board had to operate within that framework. That will change with new laws coming soon.
Either way its not going to be an issue.

As Mike was about to say it, every instinct in my body convinced me that he was going to say Canada. We're international. We're close. Plethora of PA fans and a gigantic gaming community... *sigh*

1 Like I live in the United States, and I might consider would love to go to PAX in the land down under if it takes place durring Austrailian Rules Football season so I could go to a game.

I know Austrailian Rules Football is not the same as soccer, which is called "football" in other countries.

Even though I won't be able to go I would hate for it to be cancelled or something and ruin it for the people who will be attending.
