PS3, PSP Rainbow Six held till '07
What happens in Rainbow Six Vegas on the PSP, PS3, happens in 2007; PC version now due on December 12.
Rainbow Six Vegas is firing its first shots today, as the Xbox 360 version of the game is now on store shelves. However, backup in the form of PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and PC versions of the game isn't coming along as planned.
Ubisoft has revealed that the three additional versions of Rainbow Six Vegas won't make their previously expected ship dates.
The PS3 version, which retailers have recently been listing as early 2007, will now be released on January 30. The game was expected to be one of the PS3's 21 "launch window" titles as late as mid-October, but like the PS3 edition of Bethesda Softworks' The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, it has fallen from the list, which now stands at 19 games.
Also releasing on January 30 is the PSP version, which was only officially announced in September. The handheld take was originally scheduled to be released in early December.
PC gamers looking for a little post-Thanksgiving counterterrorism will have to wait a few weeks longer than expected. Once slated for a November 28 release, Rainbow Six Vegas for the PC is now due in stores on December 12.
Ubisoft did not give any reasons for the new release dates. For more information on the game, read GameSpot's previous coverage.
