"Ragnarok Online 2 still retains the mechanics of the first game"--- What part of the mechanics are retained exactly?
Ragnarok Online 2 beta set for Southeast Asia
Closed beta session for the sequel to popular Korean MMORPG to go for six days from December 7 to 12, open beta starts end of the month.
Fans of the Korean MMORPG Ragnarok Online have been waiting to know when they would get access to an English language version of the sequel, titled Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second. And now, the world's first English language version has been announced, and it's gamers in Southeast Asia who'll get to play it first.
Singapore-based publisher Asiasoft has announced that Ragnarok Online 2's closed beta for the region will start on December 7 and run until December 12, and will be in English. The Malaysian and Singaporean servers will be active from 11am until 2am (GMT +8) during the closed beta period.
Meanwhile, the open beta for the game will start on December 27. Players can get the game client via this link.
Ragnarok Online 2 still retains the mechanics of the first game, but is now in 3D powered by the Gamebryo engine (the same one used on titles like Rift, Epic Mickey 2, and Fallout: New Vegas). Developed by Gravity Co, Ragnarok Online 2 features improvements to the Card and Kafra Systems, as well as new additions such as the Dual Life System, Social Emotes, and the Khara System.
