I would like more Metal and its branches like symphonic power metal, progresive metal, death metal etc. Give me Opeth, Leaves' Eyes or Nightwish and loads of others then I'd be sucker enough to buy it. What? surely most of these 'metal' tracks have already been released on either rock band or guitar hero. I'm steering well clear until they bring out something along the lines of Rock Band/Guitar Hero Meshuggah. Music like that would really make the most of the game (especially on guitar and drums). But since the games are slowly becoming karaoke machines, I guess the proper metal will all be left behind. Sort it out Harmonix

WTF. This is not metal it is total B.S. The only realy metal they have ever released was about a month ago and even then most of it was deathcore. I want Tech Death. Wheres Gojira, The Faceless, Necrophagist, and Born of Osiris which are supposedly deathcore but wtf. I already own all the songs on there availible to the public right now. New stuff please...

I don't know about queens of the stone edge being metal, but a good pack nevertheless, although I'm still waiting for Nightwish, I doubt that'll come anytime soon.

I really hope they release some more Old school Metal on RB2 for DLC. The Wii has yet to get the Screaming For Vengeance album from Judas Priest!

Besides if I didn't already own all of these songs as DLC, I would probably buy this pack... All of these songs are really fun to play. Although I don't understand why 3's & 7's is there, I'd hardly define it as "metal"...

@timboutillier At least Harmonix are giving the gamers the chance to download the songs to RB2... And judging by the fact the majority of songs are already DLC, I think the purpose of the track pack was to provide DLC to people who don't have credit cards or can't buy the DLC itself?

...wow. Really? $30 for 20 songs? Most of those aren't even new content, they're just bundled in with a few new ones with a big price tag. No thanks. I already have the decent songs downloaded, so I don't think I'll pay $30 for the few that I don't. I can hear it a thousand times a day on the radio instead.

@ TR5978 haha completely agree. I even bought that Evile song just for lack of nightmare/impossible songs that i hadn't played to death. But I WOULD like to see some recent metal? A7X's Waking the Fallen or City of Evil anyone? Bullet For My Valentine's The Poison or Scream Aim Fire? Idk, theres just some better sounding stuff out there that would make them more money... or at least more of MY money.

Expert-difficulty enthusiasts of Rock Band should already have a lot of these songs. If they don't have it on RB, they probably have it on a GH game. That brings down the value of this pack a bit.

I would like to get this but i've already downloaded a ton of these songs..i wish they released a track pack that was 100% exclusive songs that weren't in the music store yet...then i'd buy it.

Led Zeppelin uses distortion, heavy riffs, and fast solos, yeah they are UNARGUABLY metal you idiot. "screamo" isn't metal, it's metalcore, huge difference. Oh, but in this moment's "forever" is NOT any kind of metal, sorry. godsmack is numetal btw, which is really just heavy and almost always talentless pop in that it follows the simple "verse, chorus, verse, chorus" formula and never includes anything in the song's structure you could consider complex, it's just "catchy." At least it's better than metalcore, which would cause this post to be deleted if I bothered to describe it truthfully. To call this track list "average" is giving it too much credit, there isn't a single first wave heavy, thrash, death, or black metal band in the entire list. How sad. I honestly don't think anyone could make a worse metal tracklist of 20 songs. Who wouldn't include Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth, Venom, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, or Led Zeppelin? Nobody. At least they got Judas Priest, Motorhead, and Blue Oyster Cult, but there is almost no classic metal out of all 20 songs.

Hopefully they'll sell the songs individually... I don't want to pay $30 just for "Killed By Death" and "Transmaniacon MC" and maybe a few others. Wasn't really inclined to buy more DLC for this game, but they say "Motorhead" and I say "How much?"

Well yes most of this is not new. The point is to give people dlc for those who don't have it. Why are some people saying that some of these aren't metal? I think it's the people who were taught metal had screaming vocals (I was once one). That is wrong. In fact some people consider bands like Led Zeppelin heavy metal, while I don't agree with that there are some people who think that. (and Led Zeppelin says they hate being called metal) anyways, YAY some Blue Oyster Clut DLC, I have been waiting for more of that.

What an extraordinarily average song list. Yawn.....
