Sega delays PS2 Skies of Arcadia

The GameCube version of the game moves ahead as planned.

Sega has announced that the release of the PlayStation 2 version of Skies of Arcadia has been pushed past the 2003 fiscal year. However, the company said that the development of the GameCube version of the game will still proceed as scheduled and will ship sometime in the 2003 fiscal year. An official release date and additional details on the game are expected soon.

I have no idea why they canned the ps2 version, since it had the greatest library of rpg's. I guess the Gamecube was more starved for a decent rpg, even if it was already over 2 and a half years old already.
