New release slate championed by Capcom's latest fighting game; Gears of War Triple Pack, Dragon Quest VI DS also out.
Leading the pack this week is Capcom's Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The latest crossover title from Capcom pits characters from the Marvel Comics universe against Capcom's suite of fighters. On the comics side, Spider-Man, Captain America, and Iron Man will be featured in the game. And in Capcom's corner, Ryu, Chris Redfield, and Dante highlight just a fraction of the full roster.
Also out this week is the Gears of War Triple Pack for the Xbox 360. This bundle includes the original Gears of War, Gears of War 2, and Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection, which boasts 19 multiplayer maps and the single-player mission Road to Ruin.
On-the-go gamers can pick up the latest Dragon Quest title this week for the Nintendo DS. Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation, the portable remake of 1995's SNES role-playing game, arrives on Valentine's Day.
Another new portable title out this week is Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for the PSP. The title is a remake featuring extra subplots, new and redesigned characters, and added gameplay mechanics that let players turn back time, either to change the story's direction by revisiting key plot points or to replay critical points of individual battles for a better outcome.
Gamers who prefer not to use a controller can pick up two new Kinect titles this week. THQ's Dance Paradise and Brunswick Pro Bowling are both out on Tuesday.
For further details on the week's games, visit GameSpot's New Releases page. The full list of downloadable games on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Wii Shop Channel will be revealed later this week. Release dates are based on retailer listings and are subject to change.

okay, marv vs cap3 is freakin amazing, but whats up with the boss, i mean REALLLY, super overpowerd giant bosses in fighting games r the worst,,, ever!! good luck beating him on hard guys, i geuss ima bout to go to youtube an see if i can find sum good tactics!! and venom for dlc!!!!!
Won't be getting this just yet. I'll wait and see if Cappers decides to release Super MvC3 in a year or two. If they don't, then I will buy the original at a bargain price. Win Win.
@ fetusfart18 Let COPMAN221 gloat if he wants to. The UPS shipments to a lot of areas in Crapxas, I meant Texas, didn't come in for Gamestop, so some have to wait until tomorrow instead of getting them at a midnight launch. Thinking about hitting up a Walmart later and transferring my pre-order towards something else if I find it.
I already bought Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for my PS3 i'm going to try it today, and i'm going to buy Tactics Ogre later this week :)
@ fetusfart18 I'm not gloating but just answering thto the jealous fanboy that I had the game since Friday and have unlocked all the hidden characters already. @TheBest88 just scroll down and see for yourself. Just another jealous fanboy. I guess I should've waited like everyone else..
@COPMAN221, dude, we're ALL going to have it in a few hours anyway, what exactly are you gloating about?
every1 copman does have the copy. he is such a sony brown noser. they send him almost every game early for free either that or his dad works for sony.
@TheBest88 MyPSN is ENFORCER266... lol at the jealous fanboy who gave me a thumb down. Guess what, It doesn't change the fact that I have the game and you don't so enjoy yourself .......! :)
@DredWulf everyone knows that, but we're talking stores not bases. @COPMAN221 of course wtf. lol. been watching the tournament. tomorrow that ish is mine
Hyperdimension Neptunia all the way! When the enemy characters are based off of consoles it just sounds like a great game. And the enemies are rulers of the lands lastation, lowii, and leanbox.
@Gen007 Well said! Maybe if the girlfriend is cool enough with video games, she'll grab a controller and go She-Hulk on his arse!
i dunno about the no tax part, but these guys aren't lying about getting the games early. If a game is scheduled to be released Tuesday the 5th for example, most stores will receive the game a few days before tuesday. They just aren't allowed to sell them (legally) until midnight, tuesday morning if the store is even open then. Big name stores like gamestop or walmart always follow this rule. Little corner "mom and pop" electronic stores may very well start renting or selling these games as soon as they receive their 3 or 4 copies, be it several days before the official release. Its much harder for these kinds of stores to turn down a kid with $70 cash in his hand that the big national chains. Also, if some kid buys one early and goes home and posts on the internet, "I just bought Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 2 days early at Betty's Video Store", who even knows where that is, or if they even have any left since they probably only got a handful to sell/rent? There is a little video store where I live where I can get dvds/blurays a week or so before they are even released...
That is a pretty uninteresting release slate cue articles on how sales were 'down' in February in 4...3...2...
@TheBest88, This is nothing new my friend. I am not the only one who has the game already. There are thousands already playing it online. I have a legit copy. The only thing that won't work is the downloadable stuff. Got to wait till 2/15 for that. With that being said don't listen to the fanboys here who claim the game is not good. I have it and the game rocks for either system so go out and get your copy..
@Egotte no not really. Some people arent so big on Valentine's day especially when there's so a huge distraction. People have been waiting 10 years for this. It dosent mean you dont love said person though.
@Gen007 That's pretty damn pathetic, dontcha think!? In other news, looks like another slow week for games.
@anti-altair16 it's illegal to sell products tax free btw unless it's black friday, the state and government has to make their money, and why would some little corner store that doesn't get as much traffic as big franchises get the game before gamestop, best buy, target, etc?? total b.s. coupled with the fact that NO game websites are posting this information, I even looked up the game on eBay and you can buy the game, but you still have to wait til the release date to recieve it.
@oKiRe Don't be so shallow. You're biting your nose off to spite your face and you're gonna end up missing out on a brilliant fighting game all because ONE character doesn't feature to begin with? (Cos let's face it, Ken will be DLC most likely) So stop moaning like a little girl and pick up the game. Mainly so I can pound your face to a bloody pulp with Dante, Deadpool and Akuma ;)
I know it's a lame excuse, but i won't be buying MVC3 because Ken Masters is not in it. However, I will be buying Tactics Ogre :D!!!
@TheBest88 At those little corner stores, some of them get games early. There's one around my friends neighborhood and they got Blops early. @Thunderstarter As TheBest88 said, "those little corner stores", they don't charge tax. I could get a game at one for $65 flat. It doesn't make much sense though because GameStop is $60 plus $5 tax.
Oh nooooo to bad for my girl friend that im going to be broke so no Valentines gift mvsc 3 ftw!!!!!!!!!!
pretty good week for all systems imo. might have to dust off the psp and ds and get into a rpg or 2:P
i want marvel vs copcom 3 but capcom hasnt done tht good with its classic fighters this gen imo. so im kinda scared to buy it
Marvel vs Capcom3 is all I want. After seeing Kratos in Mortal Kombat, that will be the next game I'll be waiting for this spring.
im still waiting for my delayed copy of tdu2 in the mail and i think i'll hold out til mortal kombat arrives when it comes to beatemups, unless i get a chancehappy with some extra cash
The 11 year wait is almost over!!!! Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is almost here!!!! I can hardly wait!!!! I played it 2day cuz we have a demo of the game in my Best Buy. Its smooth. I shouldn't have played it now i want it even more! Marvel vs. Capcom 3 FTW!!!!!
I wouldn't mind getting the gears of war triple pack collection, but since I have Bulletstorm pre-ordered I'm going to pass on this week's releases.
@anti-altair16 I HIGHLY DOUBT that some little corner store video game seller would have it before a major franchise like gamestop
@COPMAN221 @anti-altair16 how if its not in any stores yet, and if it was, we all know marvel and capcom would be pissed that it was released early and fine the stores selling a game before release. and I haven't even seen any articles about it being sold early in any game websites.
