Soldier of Fortune II for the Xbox
Activision announces that the gory first-person shooter is coming to the Xbox and will support Xbox Live.
Activision announced today that Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix is coming to the Xbox. The Xbox version of the first-person shooter is currently in development at Gratuitous Games. Soldier of Fortune II was originally developed for the PC by Raven and released earlier this year. The Xbox version will feature Xbox Live support and four multiplayer modes: deathmatch, team deathmatch, elimination, and infiltration.
"No other first-person action game on any system offers the player Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix's mix of raw combat, authentic missions. and addictive multiplayer gameplay," said Larry Goldberg, executive vice president of Activision Worldwide Studios.
Soldier of Fortune II features a localized damage system called GHOUL 2 and graphically depicts your weapons' impact on enemies. The series is inspired by the personal experience of mercenary John Mullins. For more details, take a look at our previous coverage of the PC game.
