LOL,a movie,you mean a series with 3 seasons at least,it will become more popular than LOST,but anyways it can't be changed into a movie because every single detail in the game have a story of its own,it is not only about snake,and how can someone become snake,or how will the re-create the fight between raiden and vamp,this can't become a movie,that can't happen.

Hello all, MGS film? FINALLY..I have created an MGS film myself, which rivals Philanthropy, but which takes real-life actors and creates an MGS film out if them! David Hayter can be the one and only Solid Snake.

Please don't screw it up and make a good movie. I agree the story must be from the metal gear 1 (1998). I almost cried at the end, it's too perfect.

One more very important thing, it needs the soundtrack from the 1998 version, the theme right at the beginning of the game when that women is singing but with no words, it has the metal gear feel for me. I have just been waiting for this for 12 years.

One more thing, the story from the Metal Gear Solid on playstation 1 had the perfect story, that is why i loved it, the story, 5 out of 5 stars.

It just needs to be like Metal Gear Solid for Playstation 1998, then you have the best movie in the world, maybe you should make that game into the movie, that is still the best game in the world to me. I used to beat it everyday, man i still love that game over all of them.

I think making this movie should have a producer like Jerry Bruckheimer. Based on his previous movies like Hunt For Red October and many more have very good sound tracks. Including camera angles is what you need and you can get that from Jerry B. As for the director I would say Spielberg will be great but I do also think that there's other directors out there who can direct this film.

I wish they would make it like they made the final fantasy movies. I don't think theres an actor out there that can fit Solid Snakes mold.

davorhazer are you joking? George Lucas? Steven Spielberg? Metal Gear is not a crappy summer action flick, its an action drama, and i believe a director(s) with experience in the area other than "Star Wars" should take the seat for this one... (Perhaps the Cohen Brothers....?)

i'm more nervous than excited to see this movie. i know we all have our choices for the cast. well for me hugh jackman would make a great solid snake. but the key characteristic is his voice. there's so much drama going on in the series. how can they compress it into one movie without making it look like it was rushed? davorhazer was right, we've all had a rollercoaster ride playing the whole series. what we have perceived of this game can be easily destroyed if the game is not translated well into a movie.

okay, I have a degree in music technology, and I got to say that overdubbing is a lot more work and a lot harder to make seem natural than you think, especially if it was for the whole movie and if your trying to fit someone voice over someone elses. it just wouldn't seem natural no matter what. and george lucas and steven spielberg shouldn't be allowed near MGS because they would turn it into the new indiana jones and none of us want to see that happen. and by the way if you want to see a good game-to-movie, watch max payne, because it is way better than you'd expect and I didn't even really get into the game. I think you should all stop worrying, cause if kojima is on the project you know it's gonna be awsome.

I'm not even going to bother watching if it's another mediocre game-to-movie deal. I just really don't want to ruin that moment after I've completed the series thinking, that was the best series of games, ever... I think steven spielberg or george lucas should take the chair :)

"According to The Hollywood Reporter, former New Line Cinema chief Michael De Luca is in talks to produce the project, with Kojima himself being named as EXECUTIVE PRODUCER." do you know what this means if it's true?? it means this movie is NOT gonna end up like Hitman, or Street Fighter or some other b.s. game-movie adaptation. coz if Kojima has even just a nail on the project, he will make sure Hollywood makes this an Oscar... Kojima is gonna own!!!

It would be a nice nod to have some of the people that have helped with the MGS legacy be in the movie. I always love seeing Stan Lee in his Marvel movies.

I think it could be okay I suppose but it would be really great if the voice actors took some part in the game like David Hayter!! Awesome!!!

i think it would look kinda odd, if it was real life people but if they made it animated like the game's cutscenes, i think it would be really awesome.

well every one saw the resident evil movie HITMAN , DOOM TOMB RAIDER. and alot more movies from video games and all these its just waste of time and money. if they will make metal gear movie it will be a SAGA or TRILOGY i hope it will be good movie but am not sure am metal gear fan from more then 10 years so please you movies production make it goooood please

I wish it could be a direct cut and copy from the game script, but I know audiences wouldn't want to keep up with the highly detailed plot.

I hear from IMDB that Hideo Kojima is writing and directing, so it should be good

I always saw metal gear as a movie kinda thing but you know what i was kinda thinking instead they should make it a movie but animated like the comic book and all the voice actors and OMFG that would rule. but ima still watch this movie when it comes out cause im a fan of Kojima's work

I'm not so sure David Hayter would be best to play as Snake. I saw him the other day in Guyver 2 (not to be confused with McGuyver) and he wasn't a bad match, but that movie is over 15 years old and I'm not so sure he looks the part anymore. Hugh Jackman wouldn't be a bad match, but the voice would definitely be a problem, since I can't think of a single film where dubbing actually looked or sounded natural. As for Christian Bale and David Boreanz.... ummm... yeah... keep looking.

in my opinion i should have wait at least one year after the release of the game to anounce it, because it could be one of two a great succes or another shi.... movie god i hope not ! because it is a very important and impresive game. Anyway lets wait to what happend

well i just hope those Hollywood guys don't make a horrible movie like they have done with all the other video game based movies (street fighter, mario bros, mortal kombat), resiident evil was not that bad...well and as DonCarlone said as least snake's voice must be in the movie

Unless Hayter is Snake then it can't be a Metal Gear movie.

Whatever actor they use (I think Jackman would be a great young Snake) they should probably think about dubbing in Hayter's voice. The voice is what makes the man in this case.

If the original actors of the game do not play the part they should, it really wouldnt be a good movie. Listen to this crap: Johnny Depp as Vamp?! Sneaky2, what have you been smokin' and where can I get some? Eric Banner? Aussie? What the Hell?! Bendall01, you should know Snake is American. By the way, Bendall01, sleep with one eye open... And who the Hell is Nick Lachey!? I swear...Some people just dont know when to think: "Hmmm, David Hayter has played Snake since the Dawn of Metal Gear. Wouldn't it be fitting to let him play as the guy hes voiced since characters could have voices in MG games?"... Plus, I think Hideo should have appear in the movie somewhere.

YES! This is probably the first promising videogame-based movie to date. sony is making it, and kojima will be on hand the entire time, executive producer basically means he is there to make sure they doing things correct and faithful, and incase they run into any problems and to answer any questions. the only thing left that is really the most crucial part, is the director. yeah, the actors will be important, but the right director is the most crucial decision.

All these names everyone is saying are the exact same over and over. Jackman couldnt do it cause of the wolverine movie. It'd take alot longer to release. Plus the thing that makes him snake is his voice. Unless David does it he has to coach the actor into sounding like snake. Thats the only 2 options. It could turn out like Slient hill. If you play the game the movie sucks if you havent the movie is awsome. And as for people saying not a single good movie based game. I thought hitman was a good movie. O and halo will be one liners and no story. But action sells.
