Top titles to miss Euro PS3 launch

@ everyone who saw the graphics comparison vid on gametrailers.com!! If you guys saw the two videos on elder scrolls, you can clearly see that the xbox version cannot handle that game. there are sooo many load times on the XBOX its not funny!!!! Look at the extra things they've added on the PS3 version. Before they rated this game on gamespot, the xbox version had the BEST sign beside indicating that this game is best on XBOX but behold it longer is there. Even the people at Bethesda Softworks games said they were massivly rendering the graphics to meet PS3 standards in an interview. You see more horses more people, more clouds, smoother graphics as well brighter. Thats also why on gametrailers the headline said, "The MIGHT Mircosoft Game JUST go PS3 PWNED!!!!!!!" Stop hating and face the facts xbox fans!!! PS3 own hardware comparisons!!!

If this were Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire that was missing from the launch, this news wouldn't be nearly as bad. But these are five good or great games. That's what really makes it sting. It's especially disconcerting when you add it to the laundry list of delays and shortcomings that have plagued the European launch of the PlayStation 3. I mean, I thought the launch in the US was bad... Don't get me wrong, the PS3 is a very nice console, and I'm confident that it will live up to its potential as a great system in this generation (if not the greatest). But Sony could really use some good news regarding this console for a change.

What, no F.E.A.R for U.K launch date!!! I wanted this so badly! Mind you I had my suspicions, as my local Blockbuster didn't have a pre-order code for it and said that they therefore couldn't guarantee it for Friday. Oh well, I was going to get Resistance as well and I have heard that that is brilliant so it should definitely bridge the gap nicely for the F.E.A.R release.

I have no doubts that the PS3 will eventually be a success, but your condemning of the Xbox is ridiculous. Yes, Gears pushes the system, but we're still early in the console's lifespan. My console seems to work much harder when I pop in PDZ, and it's hardly the most graphically brilliant titles out there to say the least. Compression and coding techniques get better, and once the triple core of the 360 is properly harnessed we'll see great improvements too, as PS3 owners will when the Cell is used properly. As for the Zephyr... You seem to be confused. It's exactly the same machine, but with HDMI and a bigger hard-drive. I'm guessing the Core will be discontinued, the Premium reduced and the Zephyr introduced as the top-spec model. Anything you can do with the Zephyr will be doable with current 360s (with the exception of using HDMI). I don't rally mind the lack of BC on the Xbox 360 to be honest. I'd had an Xbox as my main console for the past 4 years and I'd played all of what I wanted to. There's the odd title I like such as Psychonauts and Halo, but they're covered so it's fine. I don't have a PS2 at the moment and wanted to get a PS3 to play PS3 and PS2 games as it was such a touted figure. Now that games I want to play, like Canis Canem Edit and MGS3 have "noticeable problems" I'm probably better off just getting a PS2 and probably 20 or so games for the price of a PS3. I can use my 360 if I want some next-gen action. Only thing that pulls me to the PS3 now is MGS4... there really aren't any other real exclusive console sellers for me (I'm not a great RPG fan).

Another bit of bad news for European consumers. This can't be good for Sony...

X360 sucks, wait for ps3 a little bit longer. PS3 is ten times better than the x360. Its worth the while, believe me, I have it.

I guess Sony is gonna continue the tradition of having crappy console launches. Although it might not be as embarrasing as the US/Japan launch it still won't meet their expectations. U guys overseas are missing out on a truly legendary game that Elder Scrolls 4 is. Can't Sony do anything right?

Can't really blame Sony for third party developer's missing their release dates though, as much as some may want to! Miffed about Oblivion though, as the wife's off ill and it would have been the one game she would be interested in (she loves her RPGs).

Why I don't understand??? First set back on PS3 getting here, then cut down on how many PS3 games we can play, Now this we have to wait for the good games to get here!!! When will the madness end, Aussie buys loads of techs for our home, one of the top 10 in the world, so why do we get cut backs and other crap. This sucks the massive big one

We knew something had to be delayed. Good Idea, make them right the first time. These five titles are going to be released just around the time people are finishing their launch games. Not a bad trade off.

Actually 1up just reviewed Oblivion on the PS3 and said it looks almost identicle and has some seem problems in dungeons that the 360 version did not.

VanKroy And dont forget that those versions will be better than the ones before. Elder scrolls will have enhanced graphics and a new place. Splinter cell DB will have enhanced graphics as well and new missions with a hot girl spy. So europeans just wait a little longer. THOSE NEW VERSIONS ARE REALLY WORTH THE WAIT enhanced graphics are you kidding me you having been doing your homework, NONE of the games that were on the Xbox 360 earlier then came out on the ps3 later had better graphics most agree that they were worse sooooo dont assume that the graphics will be any better till they come out, not saying they wont but you have to atleast wait till it comes out before you can brag

is this going to be for the U.S, too? if it isnt that I hate how the games get out later in the year over in Europe and Australia
