Twisted Metal delayed to early 2012

Bad news, but hope for a great game next year. I really love TM games.

Who remembers the atrocity that 989 did to this game, back in the 90s. Kudos if you remember.

i was looking fwd on this game for this year but I guess Resistance, Battlefield 3, MW3, Gears 3, Uncharted 3 (and the many more to come) could take a toll on a franchise that has been dormant for some time.

@Jordo_d If you had any kind of intelligence, it would of been easy to tell that i was talking about Fallout New Vegas.Ya know....because they are both rushed games.Call of Duty was about the franchise in general. Please get some reading comprehension.Or at least some common sense.

1) too many ps3 exclusive this year, why not delay ratchet and clank 4...who cares about that game anywayz besides the kids who actually played it when they were 3 2)stop delaying this game....u've delayed it for a full year now because it was supposed to come out March 1, 2011, it makes me not want to buy it more and more 3) by the time this comes out im going to have, CoD: MW3, Battlefield 3, Guild Wars 2, Star Wars:ToR, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Diablo 3, on top of my WoW and League of Legends addiction and i will simply let this game pass without a single thought of picking it up because im too busy with other games....whereas the october release would have kept me at bay until the shooters started coming out 4) with this delay, you better be taking out that stupid idea of cars turning into robots/transformers stuff i was seeing in a gameplay video.....or i really won't buy this game

Well this is no surprise for ps3 games. Hello gt5. Delays and swelling budgets. That's the ps3 norm. I'm glad this isn't releasing on 360 too. We'd have another held release just like with grand theft auto. Rockstar opening stated that ps3 development was the hold up on the release. Trying to get the same performance they were getting on 360 from the ps3 was very difficult, time consuming, and costly. Very costly.

well i guess i was right there were too many ps3 exclusives coming out this year that at least one had to be delayed and heres ur one

@WolfGrey i wasnt saying it to you, just in general ps3 fanboys THAT DO that. and no i dont post stuff like that, unless if i just came from a topic war (if you know what i mean) and that was the case. and in general i agree with you 2nd parragraph.

If the game comes out good, I'm willing to wait a few extra months. Meanwhile Skyrim, Saints Row 3, Arkham City, Gears of War 3, and POSSIBLY Diablo 3 will keep me busy til the time comes for Twisted Metal.

I suspect Twisted Metal will be delayed like Gran Turismo 5 was. For the next five years.

That's terrible news, atleast Rage will still be coming like ID said it would!

if the game needs more polish then fine as it is right now Twisted Metal is the ONLY game that will make me pick up my ps3 controller til then i have absolutely no problem playing Gears3, Forza4, Batman: Arkham City, Assassins Creed3, Saints Row3 on the better system of this current generation of consoles.

I'm not much of a Sony guy, my PS3 sits idle most of the time but I was really looking forward to this game, hoping to have a reason to do a little online with the Playstation for a change. Oh well, I hope they take the extra time and make it really amazing!

Too many exclusives this holiday season let alone all the money being dropped for 3rd party games. Seriously I may be eating ramen come November. Besides why rob money from yourself... its like Releasing Harry Potter a week from Capt. Yea your both gettin alot of money but why not wait a bit.

As long as it eventually releases and isn't a complete failure. Duke Nukem: Forever was how NOT to do that.

I'm totally fine with the delay. It's better than releasing an unfinished game and MAYBE patch it later. This game would sell just based off the name, but it's good they are putting serious effort into it.

That sucks big time. So wanted to play this during the holidays, but it will be fun to play during the new year.

Jaffe knows what he's doing. He takes too much pride in his work to release anything but the best possible game. He's one of the few developers who would rather a truly great game than a game that is just a cash cow.

Why do people mention Call of Duty in every single article, even when it has absolutely nothing to do with the contents of said article? If you hate it so much, stop talking about it.

Not but there will be enough time for another publisher to make a TM copy for Xbox 360 and Wii before TM is released.

they r just doing it so that it looks like exclusives keep on coming in the future

I sunk countless hours into TM:B playing through every drivers campaign, unlocking every arena and driver, and playing with a buddy. Can't wait for this "demented baby" to come out.

This makes me sad :(..I was very excited for this game but at least they are not releasing an incomplete product

I'm not too disappointed. Rather would have a nicer experience as they polish it up. Besides I cant' even count the amount of other games coming out this Fall that I want. Good move!

We'll thats kinda good news. I just bought a PS3 last week, just for this game lol. We'll Skyrim and Space Marine (to name a few) will keep it busy until TM arrives. LOVE this series.

I don't mind when companies delay a game to polish it up. In fact it's better than throwing it out on the shelf with a half-assed job *cough cough Call of Duty*

I remember Twisted Metal Black mind raping me a little. Specially when they poked the boxer's eyes out.

I definitely don't mind the delay. Take your time and polish it to a diabolical shine. Hopefully it comes out right around tax return time.

Okay, good.....this will definitely be one of my must buy games of 2012.

After playing the Resistance 3 beta and Uncharted 3 beta, I don't mind a little rest for my wallet. Get Twisted Metal right EatSleepPlay, take your time.

no shock here when sony anounces a list o games i already know at least hal will be pushed back at least till the next year..unless its a uncharted, motorstorm or lbp game.. those are on pace to be out every 28 months till ps4 comes out

I wonder if this has anything to do with the new M rating? I remember them saying that they wanted to take advantage of that.

Probably a very good move on their part. They can polish, even expand the game plus have their own lane in the new year.
