Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3 but I also have a Wii, a 360, and a gaming PC and I think they're all great. Just stop arguing about what's better. PS3 gets more exclusives, yes. But if you can't afford a PC an Xbox is a good solution for multiplats. And sorry but most multiplats are almost always ports to ps3 thus don't come out as well. And then the Wii gets its own Nintendo games. They all have something good going for them.

That trailer just sold me that game! I hope the music is similar when playing, looks like pure fun online vehicular carnage to me! Hopefully have a solid single player too to re-establish all the characters because I haven't played one of these games since the PS1 originals. They were fun then and this looks even better. LOL I still remember being able to shoot the Eiffel Tower down on one map. Good times!! Awesome splitscreen I remember.

@airfoemoe they're dedicated gaming platforms. When I buy a xbox game I'm sure it'll work as good as the others. I was saying the same thing when I didn't have one. I know your feelings. "sony playstation 3 is the way to go my friends." 11 thumbs up for this stupid comment? Gamespot is full of PS3 fanatics. PS3 and Xbox 360 both suck. Gamers are stuck with such crap hardware because Sony and Microsoft refuse to release a new console this year. Most people's TVs are capable of 1080P these days but we are stuck with inferior 720p because that's what this generation of consoles is capable of. It's been six years, these consoles are relics.

WOW January and PS3 gets an exclusive... looks like another great year to be a PS3 owner.

@littleboomer Too true, and even though Burnout does not have weapons, I still like it better. Maybe because there is no vehicular combat more gratifying than t-boning another car, sans rockets.

@whodagoose Also you can't trust dates Gamestop puts on games that haven't come out yet because they are actually the last to know.

@whodagoose I think you may be misinformed. When they first announced this game they said it would come out in October 2011. When it got to be September they pushed the release date back to February 2012 to allow themselves time to put more in the game. There is nowhere that I have seen that they said it would be released in October 2012.

@thekingofirony Thanks for the sensible reply, much appreciated. There is little chance I'll check out a rented copy after the fact, but there is zero chance of buying/playing TM on day one. There are sooo many other great games out right now and many great ones on the horizon (plus I still have to get caught up for Mass Effect 3) TM is just a turd among them. Didn't you see David Jaffe's PAX keynote where, in-between bouts of dropping insecure f-bombs like a 6 year old boy and shouting that everything that stinks in life has female anatomy (find the video... listen to him rant...), he actually admitted the game isn't going to be good and he just hopes to make some kind of nostalgia based 'connection' and call it a day...

This makes me sad I don't own a PS3... :(

Goes gold and has an online pass. I really want to get this, but I'll be skipping out on this just like I did with Uncharted 3.

Too bad Twisted Metal Black wasn't very good, but the new one looks sweet. @whodagoose hopefully it will be good but i could see that it might not be. I'll wait for the reviews before buying. @PixelAddict Burnout is great but it's not really a vehicular combat game in the same way because Twisted Metal gives you weapons.

@mjc0961 I didn't post the warning for the sake of random people who miss TM clicking a thumbs up. I posted to stop misplaced nostalgia from flushing anybody's $60+ down the toilet. When TM was delayed it initially had a release slated for Summer/Fall '12 in GameStop's system for preorders (it bounced around with several dates). When a dev delays a game they have to make a request from investors for more $$$ to keep the payroll going. At some point the investors ask "How has our money been spent" and when they are unsatisfied with the results they demand the product get shipped in an "as is" state in order to stop sinking more money into a disaster. Its a vote of no confidence. Its what happened to X-men: Destiny. That game couldn't justify more development time and money so it just shipped as rubbish, more time wouldn't have helped that title. TM is sadly in the same boat. I don't want TM to be bad, its just too many signs point to this one being a 'skip it' title not worth anybody's money. Infamous 3, a sequel worth waiting for from a quality dev team. A Twisted Metal game designed by David Jaffe, not worth it. If you want a TM title, wait for another more capable dev to pick up the IP.

I can't wait! I still find it weird though that it's coming out on Valentine's Day. I gotta choose between my fiance and Twisted Metal..... it's a tough choice but I've been playing with Twisted Metal long before I played with her.

Twisted Metal has a large fan base thanks to the PS2 and PS1,there are thousands of people out there who have waited for a Twisted Metal on the PS3 for years and now it is finally here,oh it well sell well alright

@MafiaMusic XBLA has many games the PS Store doesn't. Halo is fun as well, despite all the unjustified hate it gets. There's also Vesperia. There are gems on the 360 if you know where to look, buying a 360 today is still worth it imo. Also, I can safely say the reason I own a PS3 is NOT for its AAA exclusivities. I don't like GoW, Killzone, Uncharted and sorry-ass "Final Fantasy"... Demon's Souls, MAG, LBP, Metal Gear, Ratchet, Wipeout, PixelJunk... yeeeaah, that's where it's at.

I just got a phone call from the future. Highest review score for this game: 7/10 Average review: 5/10 Blah to garbage single player (mostly training) and multi-player focus has nobody online playing. Developer cut the release date sooner for the title because the publisher couldn't justify spending more money on the turd to release in October (Just like X-men Destiny). Only three words they need to carve on the tombstone of David Jaffe's career: "Calling All Cars"

get both an X360 and a PS3? May I ask WHAT the point of a 360 is if you have a PS3? No blurry and 360 sure as heck doesn't have any worthwhile games that aren't on PS3. I can't think of a single exclusive title on 360 worth mentioning in 2012. Yeah, halo 4 in that september window month when you guys drop your 1 exclusive for the year. :lol: what else? I am not as excited as I thought I would be. I kinda miss having dozens of off the wall characters with crazy back stories and reasons to enter into the tournament. Everyone driving around in clown masks feels a bit uninspired to me. :(

@Guster730 I wouldn't use the term peasant to describe MafiaMusic Gus. He after all probably owns a PS3, and we know he has access to the internet. They haven't upgraded to the internet down at the mud pits yet. On a serious note, I thought that games had to go platinum before AAA status, not just Gold.
