Valve and Adult Swim unveil new project next week

Half-Life developer and Cartoon Network brand working together on mystery project; Team Fortress 2 tie-in suggested.
The developer of Half-Life and the TV network behind Robot Chicken are working together on a mystery project to be announced next week. A promo page on the Adult Swim website is touting the team-up with a tease for interested viewers.
"Adult Swim & Valve are teaming up for something that you'll probably enjoy," the site promises. "To learn how their video game peanut butter will be getting in our network's chocolate, come back next week."
While the details aren't clear, a Team Fortress 2 tie-in is implied. Character art from the free-to-play team-based shooter adorns the page, and the site's keyword content tags include the game's name, as well as classes like "the heavy, the scout, the soldier, the engineer, the demoman," among others. Back in February, Valve teased that a "brand new" secret project involving Team Fortress 2 was in the works.

Valves next project should be HALF-LIFE 3!!!!
Or at least the final chapter for HalfLife 2......I mean, it's been YEARS!
So we can either expect a Team Fortess show, or a Cartoon Network game using the same engine as the TF games.......
I am NOT a fan of most of Adult Swim, I think everything they make is boring. But I do like Valve a LOT so I'll give it a shot. But color me skeptical... its a reddish-brown if you don't know.
Part of me will die if it has anything to do with Seth MacFarlane. I don't care for Adult Swim but I'll tolerate it if it is tf2 related , but I would rather see nothing at all than to see MacFarlane turn Team Fortress into another family guy clone.
@moviequest14 MacFarlane would likely have nothing to do with it. He isn't that involved with Adult Swim to the best of my knowledge. All his shows that appear on Adult Swim are made for FOX first.
@IanNottinghamX Now THAT I would play. Valve+Playboy=Profit (granted Valve+Anything=Profit).
It could work as a TV show, especially for a particular uh, "counter culture" late night crowd.

I loved the clever and off-brand humor that started the Adult Swim franchise; but they've been just raping the "dumb" humor category a little too hard lately.
They cut the anime block that helped put it on the map, they've started caring less for clever animation and original shows, and they're pushing terrible live-action shows a little too hard. Eric Andre and Loiter Squad should've never been aired. Just...so...damn...terrible. 15 minutes of awkward silence and camera close-ups is not a ***damn comedy; and Loiter Squad looks like it was made by a group of ten-year-olds with "we think this is funny" ideas and a camera.
I'm guessing this will probably be a one-off thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they just air Meet the Pyro; with the whole ARG going on, they've delved into the game's history and backstory pretty well and could probably put out a fairly lengthy video.
My favorite TV Channel and my favorite developer? Oh please don't be something aweful...
5 Like I would watch a marathon of a TF2 show. All day. In my tighty-whities. (Remind me to buy tighty whities). With a bowl of cereal. And a top hat.

1 Like This sounds cool, but has the potential to not work as well. I hope Valve's team is the one coming up with material if it is a TF2 show. The "Meet the Team" shorts are awesome, but they will have to wpork overtime to come up with enough material to justify a tv show... and it would have the possibility of backfiring and making some of the characters lame. But I have faith that it will do well.
@Psycold How about Portal 2 series? IMO It is quite possible the funniest game of all time , however it wouldn't work with Adult Swim , Portal 2 is funny because of it's wit , not slapstick and lowerbrow humor (not that that's bad , but it's true).
