I own a Wii, but I am going to go for MW2. I already played COD4 on 360, and I don't want to be behind.
Wii Modern Warfare waging Nov. 10
Infinity Ward's 2007 hit Call of Duty 4 gets a belated port to Nintendo platform this November as sequel arrives for other systems.
Activision is launching a Call of Duty blitzkrieg this week, as it followed up Monday's news of a DS installment of Modern Warfare with word that it's opening another front in its assault on store shelves. The publisher today announced that the 2007 blockbuster Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will finally be coming to the Wii on November 10, the same day Modern Warfare 2 hits the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Much like Modern Warfare 2, the Wii port of the original game has undergone a cosmetic name change. Where Infinity Ward's latest installment of the series dropped the "Call of Duty" brand from some packaging and in some advertising, the Wii version of the developer's previous hit will be the number-less Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Modern Warfare isn't the Call of Duty series' first tour on Nintendo's console. Last year, Treyarch had a Wii version of its Call of Duty: World at War ready to launch day-and-date with its siblings, and Ekakt brought Call of Duty 3 to the system's launch lineup in 2006.
Activision has not released details on new features or additional content being incorporated into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The port is being handled by Treyarch, makers of last year's Call of Duty: World at War and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.
