XBLA sale knocks 50% off SSFII HD Remix, South Park

I bought old school games like Perfect Dark on live but I won't buy avatar items. Ever. LOL! The actual thought of giving my money to microsoft for garbage like avatar items?! lol! There I go laughing again...

I bought Age of Booty and Defense Grid. Played both last night and well worth the 400 points each.

Guess I'll get Track and Field, South Park, Age of Booty and SSF2HD Remix. Some decent deals. Some of these games were over priced, but not all of them. $10 for Age of Booty and South Park isn't bad. Even $5 for Track & Field isn't too bad. This is the price structure on all 3 systems, so I'm not sure why people are complaining about it now. Sony had their sale day as well, but it was only off 2-3 days. I have yet to buy anything off of Wii's Virtual Console store. I thought most of their games were overpriced though.

I agree with what you are saying BUT until people stop paying for overpriced arcade titles then we will not see these prices fall anytime soon. I just picked up three of the listed titles. I think $5 is a great price and I would buy so many more games if they were only $5. Now if the prices for the Gameroom games would drop as well. I can't see spending $5 on old Atari games. I will pick up 1-2 that I have strong love for but that will be all. And lets not get started on the pricing of Avatar items!! lol

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is one of the best Live titles. It's a steal at that price!

Finally getting SF2HDR. edit: wow these graphics are much worse than I expected.

See now I'd be happy if they never put up a discount, it is irritating to buy a game, and then a week later... well, you get the point. Should either be always this low, or to have a definite permanent price drop sometime after release.

just nabbed call of booty (lol) and rocket riot. Track and field is looking pretty tempting.. achievements wise, for that price. It makes absolutely zero sense why some games haven't been permanently, or even temporarily discounted more often though.

At $5 I might just get Defense Grid.

Side Note: 560 = $7, 400 = $5, 240 = $3. Age of Booty is a cute real time strategy game. Defense Grid is a must if you like Tower Defense games.

@ luffy11234 Im on PSN everyday and have not seen SF 2 for 5 bucks or the others. And the only ones that go on sale mostly are the exclusives like calling all cars etc. Live has Constantly had games go on sale more often so no Sony has NOT been doing this for a while.

SSF2HD... man that's a good price for an amazing game. I think they should've tossed Mega Man 9 up there since 10 was just released...

I'm going to JJnyg24's house.

I bought a 1600 point card from 7-11 Tuesday to get the Stimulus Map Pack and returned it because Xbox Live wasnt accepting it at the time. They gave me my $20 back but the 1600 points was later added to my account, so I got the map for free and just downloaded South Park Tower Defense with the leftover points. My $20 will actually be going to something useful.... a 24-pack of Yuengling and a bag of Doritos

This information is legit. Major Nelson posted this info on his blog about a week or two ago. It would be extremely lame if he set up for an April Fool's joke in advance... I was never interested in Super Street Fighter II HD - but I really feel for those who paid $15 for it! Honestly not worth THAT much... but I'm not all that into fighting games. Definitely getting Let's Go Tower Defense Play! I've been waiting on that to be discounted for a while and $5 seems like an extraordinary deal.
