@ebookerd1 Yeah I have been a Live member for at least 6 years. My xbox crapped out on me after it was fixed a few years before that. I called customer service, i gave them my specs, and they gave me the new gen black xbox. I had recently bought a 250gb hard drive so they gave me one with that capacity. I have never complained about Microsoft since. But i do take it back about Sony. After my account was hacked and tons of $ was withdrawn from PSN account, they sent me a Vita. Although it did take a few angry phone calls and emails. ;)
Xbox 360 sells 960,000 systems over Thanksgiving week
Black Friday sales of more than 800,000 drive the biggest sales week in Xbox history; more than 750,000 Kinect cameras sold between stand-alone and hardware bundles.
Yesterday, Nintendo crowed about its Black Friday sales successes, revealing that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Super Mario 3D Land each sold more than 500,000 copies since their releases earlier in the month. Microsoft shot back with some numbers of its own today, announcing that Black Friday drove "the biggest week in Xbox history," with 800,000 units sold in the US over a 24-hour period.
For the full week, Microsoft said the Xbox 360 sold 960,000 systems in the US. That tops any other single-week total from the Xbox 360 or original Xbox.
The Kinect motion-sensing camera peripheral also sold in droves, with more than 750,000 units sold in the US for the week. That figure includes the stand-alone Kinect hardware (which was widely discounted for much of the weekend), as well as the Kinect units bundled with Xbox 360 systems. The 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle was the subject of many sales, with a wide swath of retailers selling the normally $300 bundle for $200 as part of Black Friday.
