Alter your mind and gameplay foresight as we take a look at a new trailer for Perspective, a 2D, 3D, first-person platformer puzzler.
If Fez and Echochrome had a love child, you would get Perspective, a 2D, 3D, first-person platformer puzzler where you must manipulate all perspectives to navigate a 2D avatar to his goal of progressing from level to level. This indie game comes from students of the DigiPen Institute of Technology, which has a track record of countless Independent Games Festival finalists, meaning they make great products. The gameplay has remnants of other games, such as Fez and Echochrome, and makes use of the first-person puzzler aspects of each game, but with more action. Take a look at the trailer below, and give us your thoughts.

1 Like Looks really cool. Portal has gotten me interested in these puzzle games more and more. I just feel like the game seems unpolished. They can really do something appealing if they work more on the visuals, make a better soundtrack and have a compelling story to go along with it.
Looks incredibly interesting. I don't like the border when he stops the camera to go into the platforming mode though, is it just me that thinks that's strange?
By no means an unexplored gimmick, but this has a diffident spin. Simple designs and music all fit the tone. I want this game alto I gotta admit, I don't think I'm smart enough to beat it !
2 Like Had me smiling the moment the camera moved and he made the first "not-normal" jump. looks like it could be utterly frustrating!! Fun, maybe not. engrossing - definitely!!
3 Like haha!! this looks fkn hard, awesome diversity and simply put out there. im loving these new quirky "indie" games i ll bet this ones brilliant.
3 Like Perhaps i am quite childlike, but this is the sorta stuff I think of when I'm bored in the lunchroom.
Some little hero having to run/jump/flip his way through the obstacle course of a bulletin board and finally rach the fridge ;)
2 Like Looks neat. Until they showed how the camera moves I didn't quite understand what made the game unique, but now it's quite clear. Taking ideas of games like Crush one step further.
2 Like I feel like a massive nerd saying this, but it's a modified sprite of megaman. The NES megaman, he moves exactly the same, I'm pretty sure.
Other than that, seems like a nice concept, but I'm not sure about how fun it'll be.
You're right, the little blue caracter does move exactly like 8bit Mega Man from the NES area ( man I feel old remembering those game ) !

1 Like This is the best concept design I've seen in a long time. Been smiling ear to ear through this whole trailer.

1 Like This looks pretty amazing, there's a ton of potential here and only time will tell if they can exploit it. If there's some sort of editor for the community to make their own levels I can see many many great things come from this.
1 Like @soniex Trust me ... you don't want to use their editor. Buggy as all living hell haha. Only the devs know how to use it just right so it doesn't crash.
3 Like That looks cool and all, but if the level design isn't creative enough it'll get old really really fast, like echochrome
@barrybarryk echochrome was just fiddly, if you didn't have the angle perfect it wouldn't work but something a little bit more lenient would go a long way
2 Like Bloody hell! I thought it was going to be a complete fez ripoff, but it looks like it has a lot of new, fun and interesting gameplay :D
