This is a great game. I tried it out to get some free platinum for Dark Legends, and I haven't been back to that game since. This is addicting. What I like so much about it is the variety of options for strategy and growth. There is also the element of chance as well, as to what cards you get in packs. You can easily play this game for free without spending money on packs, and have a great experience. I took a plunge once and spent $5, but that is it. I've been playing for about a month, and don't see myself stopping, or spending any more money on it.

Here are some tips when you start out:

1. Don't get suckered into trading rare/high rare/super rare cards. In most cases people are trying to scam you. Just make sure that you get a feel for the game first and do some research before you jump into trades.

2. Early on put everything into stamina, at least until 60-70 points. I found that I wanted to start building up a bit of defense and attack at that point just to fend off some of the attacks that were coming my way.

3. Do "fellow" invites when you get to level 3-4, and if someone doesn't take you up on them after a day or two, cancel them and invite someone else. You get 5 points added to your attributes for each fellow that signs on. This is an essential way to build your stats easily. I recommend this level because it will show you players of similar level and if you invite level 2 players, many of them will never come back to the game, leaving you without the benefits. I also look for players that already have 1 or more fellows. This shows that they understand that it is useful and are more likely to accept your request than someone who doesn't know what to do with them.

4. Don't use your holy powder or cure waters early on. They are much more valuable later on in the game. You used to be able to use them for currency and trade them for cards, but they recently did away with that. They are much more useful during major events rather than during mundane quests. You will understand when you play for a while. Just hold on to them though.

5. Use a code immediately after your tutorial. It is the only time that you will be able to do so, and the benefits are great. You get a rare card, which is useful early on, and 100,000 rupies, which frees you up to do a lot of things. You can use anyone's code and you will get the same thing. The person whose code you use will also benefit. If you feel that this has been helpful, I would appreciate it if you use mine: ofx05577, but you can really use anyone's.

6. Think a bit about what faction you want to join (God/Man/Demon). You CANNOT change it after you choose. The basics are that God is relatively balanced between attack and defense. Man favors defense. Demon favors attack. You can make great decks with all of these factions, but at the higher end of play people seem to favor the Demon faction for a slightly higher attack advantage. This means that good demon cards can be harder to get eventually. Man cards will be the easiest to trade for and acquire.
