People kinda have a point here. BL2 is a serious contender for GOTY (which BL1) was not. Although I agree that comments do sound more ridiculous when spoken with a British accent.

I dont really watch "Feedbackula", but I'm tryng to buid a solid fan support base to put preassure on the remake of "resident evil 2", and a show that reads our comments out loud, seemed like a decent way to do it, best of luck to you.

He could've shut everyone up by saying that BL1 if released today would have scored less than 8.5... I'm not sure that's the case though. Not sure this video is the most professional way to go about dealing with feedback though, lol.

Without a single improvement to graphics, gameplay or story, MW4 gets a 9.0.
The mediocre-at-best Halo: ODST gets a 9.0.
Borderlands improves everything gets an 8.5?

(no I do not agree with GS rating all the time, I do however have my own opinion that generally guides me away from terrible games and I use GS and IGN as a general information on new games.)
PS: raging wood is not always a bad thing.
1 Like I just signed up to say how annoying the guy in this video is, talk about condescending! If a woman gave you 8.5 out of 10 for your bedroom performance you wouldn't be complaining about it! Great game though!
I'm level 12 now and the game forces me to backtrack into level 6-8 areas, it seems to keep doing this as some sort of time sync to artificially increase it's campaign length.
@PinchySkree I believe I'm level 17 now, and I haven't had any experiences like that. Are you choosing to do lower level side quests?
2 Like i think BL2 deserved a higher score, not that it got a bad one, for probably one of the lengthiest one player saga's around, with tons of stuff to do and not forgetting visually stunning, and some clever ai giving you sweaty palms, 2k deserved better. A unique looking well crafted series.
5 Like @itchyflop You forgot to mention the shallow story and texture pop-ins and audio jumping up and down. Its a great game, but its not without its faults.
@stan_boyd haha!! good comment !! however show me a game without some faults, if every game was debugged and polished we'd be in the same situation as GT5 and look how good that is, developers must have a limit on and budget when making these games !!! your not a fan then ?? Bf3 scored an 8.5 and that has some horrendous texture pop ins and some dodgy freezing issues, one hell of a game though. keep gaming bro :0
3 Like @itchyflop Oh no I am a huge fan of Borderlands, BL2 was the first game I preordered since DA2. I was so letdown by DA2 that I swore I wouldn't pre-order anything anymore but BL2 I made and exception and I LOVE IT. However it does have issues and I think an 8.5 is a very fair score. After all 8.5/10=17/20, thats only 3 points away from perfection. I don't get why people are so mad.

@electroban i agree in some respects any publicity is good advertising, but be honest after watching a review with a good score do you go purchase the software, or are you one of these gamers that knows what he likes and doesn't take much notice what ever. A good insight for people interested in gaming, a guide or an opinion from a business (gamespot) built from gamers in the field who now get paid for doing what they love.
People who are saying this show is a OK show, probably they expected feedbackula is a return of Dracula
I want Start/Select back !! I don't mind Feedbackula..it's ok show, but I need Start/Select...it was my...everyday thing...
1 Like It does merit an 8.5, it re-used so much content and didn't innovate much. I reminds me of Bioshock 2, which was actually Bioshock 1.5.
1 Like @PinchySkree I agree, and in some ways I am glad for it. I loved the first one and this one is basically the same but with a few small tweaks. Luckily they didn't pull a dragon age 2 and give us something that is nothing like the first.

Seriously the game has a metacritic of 9.2 on PS3 and that's pretty darn good for me, if you don't like 8.5s, pick a nine + out of Metacritic's list and have your fun. I love Gamespot's review, I might not agree all the time but Chris is one of the best reviewers on this web site (and this website is one of the best for video reviews). Anyways, keep up the good work GS!
so.. why did it only get an 8.5? the review doesn't give us a clear answer, and either does this crap show.
it only mocks people who questioned gamespot's review and tells us our opinions are incorrect because we're not 'industry professionals'.

Using the review and ratings system when it's confined to the current year and trends within the industry is a great idea, if GS actually practiced it. The problem is, there are numerous reviews where the score and review was clearly influenced - or a direct product of - how much better the sequel is over its predecessor.
1 Like 4:10 of this video.... they are saying that in 2009 borderlands compared to the games of the time then, and now its 2012 so it compares to the games now.
So what you are really saying is that games have to compare to Call of Duty, because it gets a 9 every year practically and it has NOT CHANGED.
It is the same gameplay, just reskinned and modded, which is fine for the first few, but this has been the same game since COD 4!!!
That is a piss poor excuse, i'm not even mad it got an 8.5 because thats a great score still, but that excuse you gave back to the public was an insult to all of us.
Do us a favor and stop lashing back out at the fans, youre making us hate you even more and as a business you need fans to want to come to your site. And youre making us loose brain cells with the arguments you create. You get paid for this, youre supposed to be professionals, yet people who cant find jobs and are willing to work their a**'s off to make ends meet have more brains then you guys.
I am now even more excited about getting this game. Bring on payday.
