The armor and weapons in RIFT is really plain. I hope they improve the appeal of them in this expansion.

Cookie cutter only applies to higher end raiding. You could always run specs that suited your own playstyle. Remember that when compared to the other pop culture mmos here you get way, way more options to customize your spec and most importantly role
Have they ever improved customization? I felt so cookie-cutter in this game. Kinda killed it for me.
