Another simple fighting game. Nothing will beat Shadow of Rome for PS2 IMO, and if this was more like that, I'd keep watching this game. Fighting games leave a lot to be desired. They get old very quick. It would have been more fun if it was a story. Maybe rise up through the ranks as a gladiator while teaching you how to play, then you break out into open world missions that follow the story and show as the leader of the slave army.
So far, this trailer does not really have me impressed, so I'll wait for release/reviews before buying. As someone else said, the Spartacus series is all about the story-line, so if they put in the time recreating it into a game, that would be great. However, if they make this into a straight gladiator arena (fighting game), that would be a disgrace to the franchise, even if they're already on the final season.
I have been playing Gladiator Begins on the PSP since 2010 and it is a terrific game for that little handheld. Works for the Vita as well. I hope Spartacus Legends works well and they make a Vita version to go with the PS3 version.
RIGHT! THEY need TO Make Shadow Of Rome again or another game based on that time with similar style of game play...
I hope Gannicus is included, and I really hope the graphics are not in their final state yet.
@CIA_BOSS Yes this looks quite awful right now but we don't know if they are the actual graphics of the game and also ubist worst company with graphics? Uhm.. Assassin's Creed?
Assassin's Creed graphics can be compared with ps2 graphics like MGS3: snake eater but not ps3 games. I think Ubisoft's graphics r so bad @Sagitarii
@CIA_BOSS @IrishSweenz1790 I have played MGS 4 and yes it was amazing. Probably the best game I have ever played but I still think that AC has great graphics. The cities are really colourful and realistic. They feel alive and I didn't understand the problem with its movement. I had no problems at all.
@IrishSweenz1790 @CIA_BOSS @Sagitarii if u really think that AC has a SUPERB graphics, then u really need to look at some games' graphics ( MGS4, God of War, Gears of War, Heavy Rain.....etc) and compared with Ubisoft's games
BTW not only the graphics r so bad, even the movement of the characters is bad and not smooth. If u played MGS4 u will know what i am talking about
@CIA_BOSS @Sagitarii compaired to MGS Snake eater on ps2?!? Due what crack did your mother smoke ? AC graphics are superb hence awards it won for it. This game isn't even in polish state yet. Your argument is pathetic buddy...
Love tha series, but as most believe I don't think tha game will give it much justice... But hope are high
Ah, so January is when the next season starts - didn't know that. I'm excited for the new season, but not for a game. I just don't know, it would depend on how the game is oriented. Not really much to go on right now.
1 Like I love the Spartacus series. But I don't know about this. Spartacus is more than just the arena. There's a story to it.
