Summoner User Review

A solid RPG game, though a little dated-looking now.

The Bottom Line:
"Old-school"
I really enjoyed Summoner, yes the combat system takes a bit of time to get used to, but the game is definitely worth a try. There are enough side quests and extra things to check out to stop the game feeling too linear. The story in interesting and the boss fights are fun. The lockpicking etc for the thief character is also a cool feature.

The graphics and sound are not fantastic, but remember this was pretty much a PS2 release title, so looking back it was a pretty good effort. Sure it's no Final Fantasy X beater in the eye-candy department but the graphics are serviceable.

It may not be the ey-candy you've been looking for but the gameplay is solid. Summoner definitely keeps you interested, if you give it time in the beginning. :)

  1. Sure this game may have come out in 2001, and the graphics may be shoddy but this is still one of the best games ever
