Might be a bit late to get into the Wii since the Wii U is around the corner.. But then, I do like late-gen gaming, so this game will be the first I play! Next being SSBB.
@Khloipha I disagree i just picked up a Wii again after playing many MMo's and there's so many fun games.Just started this one playing Smash bros brawl and Animal Crossing on the side as well.
Honestly I tried this game once at EB Games when it first came out and didn't like it much but I didn't really get much time to get a handle on the controls. I recently got this game given to me as a gift and finally started playing through it tonight. I have got to say it is excellent. Once you get the controls down the game itself becomes probably some of the greatest gaming available this generation and will surely last the test of time. I will be certainly picking up the sequel which is apparently even better.
This review does not accurately depict how amazing this game is. To do so, of course, is impossible.
I'm finally gonna take the plunge and buy this tomorrow. I can't wait to see what everyone was talking about all those years ago...well you always need to start at one.

The first super mario galaxy is just right, the second galaxy is too extreme happy and there's no video cut scenes in it, a little bit cheap in my opinion. Only the camera angles are better in the second one, the rest is just the same.
As much as I REALLY enjoyed Galaxy 2, nothing beats its predecessor (my opinion of course.) Best Wii game I've ever played :)
This game looks awesome but I'm not sure if this and Zelda are enough to justify purchasing a Wii.

Go back and see the God of War reviews that's Alex. The idea that you people think I think he's a terrible reviewer you my friend are very very wrong.
What a fabulous game! Super Smash Bros. Brawl and this rock, and with Super Mario Galaxy 2 coming out later this year I'm sure everyone will be pleased!
this reviewer is actually pretty good for a new reviewer at gamespot...all the other ones just down right suck expect for Kevin hes decent

This mario game looks so good. I have to get it next year with zelda working title and super mario galaxy 2. 2010 will be the best game year in this 21st century.
@moonlightcharm6 I agree with you, I never really complete mario games but that only applies to the 2d side scrolling versions but I found this easier.
i love Super Mario games they are awesome but sadly i never finish played even one of them they always gets to hard. but good game.
