@krazken Those are some good suggestions, why you've been thumbed down I don't know. Hope to see some older games such as Streets Of Rage 2 available on the system too as well as potentially PS2 games, San Andreas anyone? I see no reason why it shouldn't be possible seeing as the Vita is vastly more powerful then any of the last generation systems and matching pre-2008 quality of the current gen consoles.

For some reason GS just doesnt like the Superstardust games

this is perfectly suited to on the move gaming for the vita, a cracking little title, didn't have the same appeal on psn (unless you like older gaming styles). And for under a tenner not bad at all, that's how it should be (for most titles). im buying it

This game seems really colorful though.

What is the agenda here at Gamespot??? So many bad reviews....maybe Sony is not paying them?

@CassadyH - this. You don't need to be able to rank games on some 20-point scale (or for some reviewers a 100-point scale - God knows how they'd decide between a 73 & a 74); all you need to know is if it's worth getting if you're a fan of the series/genre, a good title, a must have or GotY material. Even an A+/A/B/C/D/E/F(or U) grading system would be more appropriate.

I'm starting to feel GameSpot doesn't like any of the Vita games. :/

I went to the city today and bought a leftover first edition bundle from a game store. It's so awesome. Then I accidentally left the charge cable at my friends house in the city. Now I have to wait till next week for him to bring it back. I have the Vita sitting here dead and I can't play it for a week. How sad.

Game looks beautiful and what a steal at that price. I was distracted by the NASTY nails of the person playing it though, please pay attention that gamespot; gross.

@NickyWithATicky Nailed it.

@swimbearuk If you like twin-stick shooters, this is honestly the best one I've ever played. The vita version is in some ways BETTER than the PS3 version too, simply by virtue of the fact that its portable. It is very well suited to a twin stick handheld.

@Quikman They just want to be hipsters against IGNs score of 9.0. However I would like to see how they would rate the PSP version. 4.5 perhaps?

It's great that Gamespot are putting so much energy into reviewing all these Vita games - love it! Well done GS!

I trust the Gamespot scores, but I wouldn't purchase anything that got less than 8.0 even if I like the genre, and I look for longevity too, so hearing that I can see everything in a few hours isn't good. So far that leaves me with very little, if anything, to look forward to on Vita at launch.

@NuclearPig I'm confused,I also think you should read how I said "at the moment"

NuclearPig

@sexyweapons So even though all the US launch games got over a 6.0 and there are like 8 or 9 games in the launch?

NickyWithATicky

C'mon people, we know this. They don't start at a 10 and knock off points for problems. The reason this game is a 7.0 is because it's GOOD, not great or better. It's solid and pretty, but nothing that special. That's what I saw in this review anyway.

@CassadyH I agree, either remove it or bring the old scoring system back where they score multiple things. These numbers become more and more meaningless every day.

The day gamespot removes the numeric scale may be the day that 90% of the comments don't read "a seven? should have been a seven point five....that xbox game got an eight....you said you liked it but gave it a terrible score..." :( I'm not trying to be mean spirited here and no offense to any of the posters here. All im saying is, please gamespot, consider removing this numeric score system. It is distracting people from the context of the review.

For ten bucks, this seems like it should've got an 8 rather than a 7. I mean, a portable Super Stardust? That should automatically warrant an "Awesome"!

Ok, so the negatives are: It's not original. It's short. Accidental triggering of special weapon. Mini games are too simple. It doesn't seem like enough negatives to bring the score down to a 7. Now I'm not saying a 7 is bad score, in fact I'm always defending 7s. I guess it's the enthusiasm in Carolyn's voice that makes it seem like she's much more positive about the game than her review indicates. Anyway, I could get this game free if I activate my 3G trial, but I have to wait 30 days, and then I'd end up being billed like 4 times the price of this game. Maybe I should just buy it.

RPG_Fan_I_Am

Ahh see, this is a review I could 100% agree with, and I'm not saying I'd score this game this, but the review at least says why it's a 7. My condolences on the review Carolyn.

Doesn't look like their are many good games on Vita, atleast at the moment

Going to get this game no matter the score... 7.0 is still a nice piece and it looks so appealing I would probably get it even with way lower score. 10$$$ - Why not?

Happy with that, actually being nice to the Vita and dissing the game producers. Makes a Gamespot change.

Wow, very few negative points were said to say it got a 7/10 :S

to the reviewer; get over Geometry wars. Super stardust is just a better game. This review SCORE is not accurate when relating to the game. Try to be objective. If this is how you review games then you will always look like you dont know what you are doing to anyone that heard the review. Just let Geometry wars go it is so 2005. LOL!

Why does the difference between a 7 and 8 mean so much to people? lol I read/watch these reviews to make a decision if I should buy the game; not to pass judgement on every single Gamespot review.

10 bucks for a game that gets it right..sounds good..i mean i understand a 7.0 is 'Good', but it def deserves in 8..It doesnt do anything wrong...i dont get GS sometimes ...

Are you guys still using that "CHAIR OF DOOM!" that you used to review the 3DS?

4-Legged-Shark

7.0 seems very low. Why does it matter that this game is very similar to other games in the genre? It does what it does quite well. I agree about the minigames though. Still... its only 10 bucks...

$10 sounds pretty reasonable. Looks like a great game to play for a few minutes at a time. Keep up the Vita reviews!
