looks good. good that the cover isn't sticky cover as in dxhr which i dislike. why did they make it third person. dxhr should be fps only.

This game looks real cool to me. I may not buy it immediately, but I think it will be a buy sooner or later?
Syndicate was always about tactical planning of multiple agents not a single super soldier kicking butt. Why make a Deus Ex Clone!? Oh well, guess this is a complete reboot.
How many FPS do the world need? BOOORING! Syndicate is a token of the past and it also is a symbol of the creativity game developers had back in the days. Now everything is a clone of some other game. Start making new games and not copys. EA slogan Ctrl-C Ctrl-V Cant wait to see "World of the old republic" fail. Hope they go bankrupt!
I've been waiting to play Syndicate again for a long time. A reboot is awesome news. This, however, does not impress me. They couldn't make it in the original style? FPS works for Fallout, not for Syndicate. I won't be buying this.
Nothing new here. Loved the original series, would have been happy with a HD remake on arcade in comparison to this.

Well, at least they're honest. I like the question they answered about the game clearly not being in line with the original Syndicate. That was ballsy.
this only makes me miss bullfrog. I'm sure it will be a good FPS but a terrible syndicate game.
Its somewhat annoying to me how amazing classics like this game and Xcom are being made into FPSes. Whenever game companys do this they usually water down the formula and take away what made these old classics really fun to begin with.
@shantd I like them, they may not be funny, but I don't think they are trying to be, just a regular embodiment expression that people use when they are in front of a crowd or tv(stop being jelly), as opposed to being boring like robots(full of videos like that on the tube). Edit:I stand corrected, they are funny, I laughed at the end of the video :')
Shaun and Maxwell are awesome. Although the game isn't what it used to be by no means, as a completely separate game, it looks very interesting. I think we as gamers just need to separate from the fact that it has Syndicate in it's title. It's not Syndicate, let's just say they picked the same title "by accident". This video was very entertaining and enjoyable to watch, although it might not have been that informative. Good watch overall.
Like somebody earlier said, it really does not even matter if this game is amazing, it still is not syndicate and never will be. Also just wondering is Maxwells surname House?

@MooncalfReviews It's VERY relevant. As relevant as stealth or breaking walls or jedi mindtricking someone into not attacking you, etc. In every game where movement matters, destroying the environment is amazing. And hey, in scenarios without augmentations and magic (99% of the possible scenarios really), it's the only way to avoid combat. So it makes games LESS "FPS-ish". No, it's not the only important aspect in a game. But it is relevant, and if you're criticizing someone for asking it, you need to think out of the box, yes.
Syndicate and Xcom...two classic third-person isometric games being remade into First Person Shooters. Two opportunities to give gamers something rare tossed away for two more opportunities to shovel us a little more of the same.
Very nice ad, EA. And i don't mean the one lasting 20 secs, i mean the 6:40 minute one. Hope it wasn't too expensive. Now go and rape another IP.

An awesome game on the front. Will keep an eye on this one. I don't get it why so many moans....probably haven't played Chronicles of Riddick from the Starbreeze studio :D :D
@Nodashi You're fussing over a very typically FPS concern, and you're telling me to think outside the box? Destructible environments are alight, but it's of tiny concern to me compared to the intelligence, integrity, and RPG / strategy elements in a game. My point was that people focus too much on details that are shallow, when they should be screaming at EA for screwing over an amazing franchise.
Organic cover 2.0, the new form of cover! Sounds awesome, to bad many people found that mechanic to hard in Space Marine, but hey maybe now that more games do it maybe people will accept this revolutionary cover system.
@MooncalfReviews Way to list 2 games without destructable environment. EVERY game with guns should have environment destruction. Why the HECK can Adam JEnsen only punch through weakened walls, not use a bazooka or a granade to break them open? Think outside the box. The reason RPGs don't have this is the complexibility of the engine, not because it doesn't fit. Specially modern of futuristic RPGs with firearms.
Highly anticipated? Highly derided is more accurate of this short, unimaginative, linear Deus Ex clone. It is called Syndicate to avoid copyright lawsuits.
@tttooooozzz Well, you are not the only one with a weird nickname. I've made up mine when I was 14 because I was angry that all the nicknames related to my name were taken. Maybe I should've come up with something normal. :P
"Will environments be destructible?" Who the **** cares dude? Shut up! Go back to Halo and Call of Duty. The answers to these questions were so disappointing. They could have made it FPS but still heavy RPG, with lots of choice, team mates and mad strategy. **** EA. I'm done with them. Butchering douches. And no cover system? Oh hey welcome to 1999, where you have to step out into full sight to shoot anyone!
if it play like elder scroll or fall out or even dead island i am buying it even i prefer syndicate to stay as it is with graphic impoved for sure or they can make it like gta cuz it suits it well but if anything else i will never bother touch the game
@random515 true enough, but i can count the number of outstanding first person shooters on one hand since the days of those two games you listed. EDIT: ...and none of them copped the name of an old (non-FPS) franchise to garner more attention.
