i still wish this game was a 3rd person game. getting bored to death with fps's, also in the original and Syndicate Wars, the syndicates dont talk, they are like Terminators, emotionless, like equilibrium, get there ordered and get it done. im not a fan of the syndicates having and looking cool/big headed style approach.
another FPS?? well glad there is another FPS fill what must be a gaping hole in the market... or this is just cashing in on the good name of syndicate, really they should have named it something else as its not the syndicate us older gamers remember. why not bring about a refreshed version of the original, better graphics, new level design etc but leave the format the same?
cyberpunk win, i will literally play anything related, absolutely LOVED deus ex series, and im sure ill like this unless they really screw it up?
Ah my favourite Bullfrog(R.I.P) game ever,back when Peter Moleneux used to deliver on more than smug PR.This doesn't much look like Syndicate,seems were to play the semi automated cyborgs we used to order about,not that that matters anymore as were looking down the barrel of a gun Fps style. So were looking for some kind of fresh take on an Fps with a Syndicate style cyberpunk spin.Good luck with that.
Duke Nukem, Deus Ex, and now Syndicate too? It feels a bit strange, yet I think this is going to be good. Altough I'm quite concerned about changing it from strategy to FPS. We have asked EA si many times to do a reboot, and now they do it they make it a FPS? Ofcourse it doesn't make it bad instantly, but my opinion is that when converting a strategy title to a shooter title, it should be Mass Effect-wise (3rd person, ability to give commands to your squad). I hope this is not going to be Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon set in Syndicate universe. Time will tell....
I don't know, it might be a good game but I feel that it is a rushed attempt to cash in on the Deus Ex success.
@Wolf-5 just what i was going to say lol, i was hoping this game would be a 3rd person shooter because we already have about 50 dam fps's atm @revanknight i too was thinking the same, heard nothing about this game until a few months back, i just dont know about this game. too me this just looks like an action version of Deus Ex HR, another FPS yehhhh :-/
I thought "Syndicate Wars" was the successor to "Syndicate" Though I would much rather have had a new Syndicate game be closer to the originals, but this still looks interesting. Hope the levels are not thin corridor like and more open or semi-open world.
Never even heard of Syndicate before this game and i am excited for this. luv me some Cyberpunk.
@revanknight Development was started on this back in 2008 dude...Please don't jump to conclusions like that, there's already enough unjustified hate for this game as it is.
They just announced this and it's already scheduled for the Q1 release window!? This'll suck! The game deserves a proper Strategy game reboot. They could've at least made Syndicate a "tactical" shooter. Commanding a squad would've been interesting. Sigh. More reason to buy "cartel" when it's released.
The original Syndicate was the $#!T Wow, compared to this generation of video game it looks pretty lame. For its day though, it was epic. I feel old. : (
