Wow, this looks amazing, I wouldn't want to play it if it were on xbox, it'd be so dumbed down for console. first person would be great as I always play it that way
... anyone else think this looks kinda like Kingdoms of Amalur: the reckoning? O.o... Cuz...It does.... just saying
You are out of your mind if you think Not having First person is good for this mmo this is going to be a big fail specialy for Elder Scroll fans
Reasons to be Interested in The Elder Scrolls Online!! :) <3

The screen shots look beautiful, but I'm skeptical whether that level of quality will actually end up in the game.
But what about what is really important here, will there be a copy of The Lusty Angorian Maid?
I think this looks great never been an MMO fan or thought I would be. Just wish this is what Skyrim was like instead of putting all their ideas in to this!
Cost to play?
Make a single player in it too, believe me without it the game will suck really bad,not all people have friends to play with or even like to have someone to play with at all, gaming has always been about a story and playing it truly.
@airforcetech999 lol. TES Online...
If you are doing french fries yo just can't listen to someone that comes in and says: "Hey.. throw some some mashed potatoes in the pan.. see what happens"
No.. its TES Online.. if they were doing a single player game it would not be named TES Online. Sure I agree... not all of us like the combat system of an online game.. but here is were you come in and decide if you want to play the game.. or not. Cheers
@airforcetech999 MMOs have always been about meeting other people and socializing, otherwise not one would play them since their actual gameplay sucks
Hopefully this game doesn't require too advanced system requirements. I know that it'll probably require more than WoW, but if it requires too much, we'll see an Age of Conan hype all over again.
The timing for a new fantasy oriented MMORPG giant couldn't be better, given that Blizzard have pretty much run out of steam where WoW's concerned, and out of all the contenders ESO is starting to look the most promising..... can't wait to try it out ^^
while this is looking way to much like a wow clone, here's hoping they can create somethng more original than that.
How about some sandbox option to this game the combat system I like in the series already, can they keep it the same without lag on 1 megaserver.
I was hoping for some building aspects like xyson, they did an awesome job with being able to terraform the land around you and building your own home or guild.
I'm not much of a crafter, but lets hope they make it in-depth with a far better system than warhammer or wow's, but like I said I hated crafting, but mortal onlines and xyson's crafting where extremely in depth, mortal more so than xyson, I mean you literally had a well over a million combinations of recipes that you can create.
Hopefully the pvp isn't just battlegrounds or AREA, but from the sound of the video the seige combat on cyrodil will be liken to GW2's seige where you go to another instance and bore yourself to death, I personally had liked warhammer's seige mechanices, but it's that damn lag issue's again and zerg problems. I like the idea of seiges on the same instance you pve, or normal pvp, I don't think this needs to be a full loot pvp, but having the option to go full pvp all the time would be a good start.
Just my thoughts
When I first heard of this comming out I was a bit skeptical, but I think this game may be pretty good.
This would of been way cooler as an Elder Scrolls FPS Co-Op game. oh well.....follow the pattern guys, a failing pattern
I don't see think this is gonna fail. I think it's going to be exactly what I think it should be. A graphic-intensive MMO based in the Elder Scrolls universe. I think it's gonna rock.
What? No more that pathetic first person view combat system? I see Bethesda eventually learned from Dark Souls.
this is gonna be a catastrophic fail. If the graphics are too dumbed down for mmo-style it's not going to be in elder-scrolls theme. Skyrim with mods already has better graphics than this preview video. The art style definitely doesn't feel like elder scrolls at all. If the first-person real-time combat is gone it's gonna be cheese as well.
This doesn't appeal to elder scrolls fans at all. This is gonna be a bigger fail than SWTOR. They should seriously consider canceling this. MMO mechanics and elder scrolls simply do not mix. Oil and water. Black and white. These are two completely different styles of gameplay.
Nobody ever saw diablo as a franchise failing (d3) but it did. Nobody thought CoD could fail (it has). Was only a matter of time for the elder scrolls, and I'd be willing to bet money that this will fail. I'm a hardcore elder scrolls fan, played everything from morrowind onwards, and I feel no love or hype for this game at all.
@Shelledfade1 Gosh, thank god the gaming industry has you as an analyst. That'll be Elder Scrolls Online canned, then. If only you'd written this before they started! All the money spent in development could've been saved, and paid to you as a consultancy fee. Thank you for your time; I'm sure we all really appreciate your positive, constructive criticism.
Jeez what a fail that this game only comes out for PC and MAC! PC has alot of mmos already, dont know/care about MAC. But TES online should def come out for the consoles.
@Sprock26 Don't know if you've noticed or not, but most MMOs don't get released on consoles.
Eww, they lost me with that "megaserver" crap. Why can't developers get it through their head that these games are about community and creating a sense of *place*? When you have multiple instances of a single zone that you can switch between at will, you destroy the sense of community, and make the game feel like a game, not a place.
why does it look like pvp/rvr will be just like a failure GW2 is/was/continue's to be. This just looks like it will be a better version of GW2 and that lasted for like 2 months for me, so is this a theme or sandbox I can't tell, sounds like a theme park to me, if so, not getting my money until they can prove otherwise, so said love TES series.
@DGWTF @boomer0901 Oh please... Not only was Jeese Cox unable to give most if any detail about the game when he made that video, but he also gets excited about every game. Trust me, the video on this webpage is much more informative.
so it's mostly a theme but with a TES feeling, somehow I feel a SWTOR comiing on, I like the idea of the seige tactics though and the block attack that we've all come to love, but that sounds like the only really orignal thing they got going so far, time will tell, thanks for the link DG
